Widely reported around draft time that Mitch was a shy and anxious kid. He seemed to break out of his shell last year but maybe still isn't 100% comfortable being on the spot like that and the Knicks probably said it wasn't worth it for some fluff media day quotes.

The funny thing is his exact quote was "my playing weight last season was 215, im 218 right now"

So what really happened is he gained muscle and cut fat. I hope that means reality struck him like lightning and he came to the realization that its all or nothing and he has to train like his life depends on it.

that's not a rumor. a guy from bleacher report suggested a couple different trades for beal and that was one of them.
