Who was your favorite RB ever on your favorite team?

Post#1 » by bwgood77 » Mon Sep 30, 2019 2:03 pm

For me, it's pretty easy as a Chargers fan, because the Chargers haven't really had any great ones other than Tomlinson, so he wins by default.

Beastmode

Shaun Alexander was a likable dude. But, I didn't love his running style. He avoided contact.

I'm too young to remember Curt Warner.

I thought of him. He'd probably have to be second, though he only had like one good season...it was fun. Just not much competition. You could probably overall put Sproles ahead of him, but he's obviously more of a 3rd down guy that was there with Tomlinson.

I don't really have a favorite NFL team but Barry Sanders for sure. Runner up is Saquon. Two of the most exciting RB's I've ever seen. I think Saquon will go down as the best back in NFL history

Oh yeah, Sanders was great. I was really disappointed when he retired. He's probably my favorite ever.

Tony Dorsett. I also loved Earl Campbell but he played for the old Houston Oilers.

Yeah, it's amazing he's like 3rd of 4th in total yardage now and still going pretty strong.

Probably Warrick Dunn due to his size, Riggs was doing well but its been way too long for me to remember.
Where the offseason has more buzz happens.

Frank Gore was an absolute beast for nearly a decade which is unprecedented for a running back. He's still averaging 4.5 ypc as a 36 year old which absolutely blows my mind.

My all time favorite running back was is probably Reggie Bush, shame that the Niners got him at the tail end of his career.

Gore is a bad man. Love his work ethic and lunch pail attitude. Seeing Bush at the end brought back bad memories of O.J.'s last years in SF after the infamous trade Joe Thomas made to get him.

All time favorite running back on my favorite team for me has to be dual threat Roger Craig- "In 1985, Craig became the first player in NFL history to enter the 1,000-1,000 club. He rushed for 1,050 yards and caught 92 passes for 1,016 yards in the season after he became the first player to score three touchdowns in a Super Bowl."

All time favorite running back was Barry Sanders. I was sorry to see him retire without winning a ring. I liked OJ back in the day but........

For the Texans(ugh), it's obviously this guy:

From undrafted to practice squad to godly. Wish he could have stayed healthy.

Loved Roger Craig. You always see that highlight of the Steve Young scramble for like 50 yards for a td...but didn't Roger Craig have a crazy good run in that game too? I always seem to remember that in my head.

Craig 'Iron Head' Heyward... It was always easy to trade for him in madden and their was an I-formation play in madden that you can run and always get 5 yards.
