Yes, it's great to have a pure pg that can also score from 3 levels but there aren't too many of those at the NBA level. Perry has constructed a roster that has many players who can pass well so if the system run by Fiz emphasizes ball and player movement then maybe the lack of a pure pg that is a 3 level scorer won't be a problem.

Didn't you hear? Fiz says playing time will be awarded based on defense this year!

In 5 years when we switch back to small ball, the rest of the league will probably start trending back to going big.

Will it though?

There seemed to be movement in Memphis and this is a more veteran roster, plus the young guys are all a year older, so there should be. Or Fiz isn't getting through to players. I think there will be though.

"Small ball" has honestly been kinda dead for a while. Sixers and Raptors set the template for how to combat it.

And if we're talking seriously the Warriors weren't good be cause of going small just for the sake of going small.... They had so many smart decision makers who could play bigger than they are and a transformative defensive wing who was strong enough to battle Centers down low and protect the rim.

I dont think anything that happened last year should be held against him. This basically his first season as Head coach for the Knicks
