Yep, the Raptors had a more impressive run on a whole throughout the playoffs. The Cavs finals victory was more dramatic and epic.

Cavs win is an all time greatness comeback.

No comparison lol.

The Cavs came back from 3-1 down to beat the best team of all time.

Raptors win was a great effort, but isn't even in the same conversation.

I'd say the Raptors Run was one of the most unimpressive. Their championship literally has an asterisk in most people's eyes.

the cavs were expected to win and lbj was recruiting any shooter he wanted, and he had love and irving.

tor didn't have the expectations so that was more "impressive"

Lol so what did Draymond do in game 6 and game 7 to lebron?

Lets flip the script, what would Kawhi have done if he didn't have Siakam or Lowry and GS was healthy?

And those 2 dont compare to KD or Klay

The finals is the biggest part of the any run and raps got lucky GS basically died out there.

Cavs beat a 73 win team, down 3-1 and on the road for games 5 and 7. Really no more to talk about

Raptors championship win was great. I loved it. It was great and nice.

But to answer the question: not more impressive than the '16 Cavs, whatsoever. No, not even close.

Cavs comeback is a more impressive series win than any for the Raptors, but the Raptors overall path was more impressive. The 2016 Cavs swept a 44 win Detroit and a 48 win Atlanta before dispatching the Raptors in 6 games in the ECF. That was perhaps the easiest path to the finals in Lebron's career.

It's a tough choice because I have a load of respect for what the Cavs did against Golden State, but the Raptors arguably beat 3 of the top 4 teams last season, with the 4th team being the Raptors themselves. And don't forget that they came back down 0-2 to the Bucks.

The Cavs' crowd didn't cheer when the opposing team's best player had his Achilles tendon snap in half and visibly retract up the inside of his leg.

That's going to be remembered always and will taint that title's legacy forever.

Sure, in a vacume, you can say that the 16 Warriors weren't that much worse than the 19 warriors talent wise. However, that's a very naive way of looking at it.

The 16 warriors had key players in Barnes and Bogut that the 19 Warriors didn't have. Additionally, two key players that were both in the 16 and 19 versions were way younger and effective in 2016 (Iggy and Livingston). Finally, you had the benefit of defined roles; You had Curry, Thompson and Green very comfortable in their high usage roles. In 2019, these guys had to adjust in the playoffs after 3 years of different roles with KD on the team. Let's also think about the fact that so much of the gameplanning and practices were done with the assumption that KD would be playing. KD being on the team and getting injured hurt way more than KD not being on the team at all for these reasons. Then there was Klay's injury as icing on the cake.

The Cavs definitely beat a better team in the finals. Substantially better imo.

That said the Raptors run to the finals was definitely more impressive, and their title was more impressive considering expectations and the fact that they had such little time to gel compared to the Cavs who had already made the finals a year prior.

I don't know which title is more impressive. Like others have said, any title is impressive. From 2000 until now, I can't pinpoint one single title and say "that wasn't that impressive".

I do believe that the 16 Cavs would beat the 19 raptors in a 7 game series, but that doesn't make either title more or less impressive than the other.
