Was going to do a training camp thread, but since we're 5 days away from preseason, thought I'd start a preseason thread with the schedule.

That Bulls Zion game should be fun. Lonzo changed his shot alot and it looks pretty solid.

I’m ready for all the NBA storylines to play out. This is one dramatic season. The national podcasts I have heard have all been pretty up on the Bulls, most say in the east they are in the chase for the playoffs. All good vibes

The whole league is a question mark. Philly has the potential to be the scariest defensive team we have seen in a long time. Lakers are jabberjawing about being a bruiser defensive team, and so are the clippers. Just that is interesting as a change of the dynamics. I can’t think of a season that has been more wide open except the lockout year. Every team not named Charlotte has something interesting waiting play out.

If Ball could get anywhere near his college 3 pt shooting %, along with his college volume, he instantly becomes a top guard in the league. It's bizarre.. the kid shot the 3 at UCLA on high volume and at over .400. With his vision, passing skills and defense put a solid 3 ball with that skill set and you have a player worthy of the top pick or 2nd overall pick in a strong draft. A superstar. I hope the Bulls don't wind up regretting not trading their pick for him when they had the chance. Strangely, I have a weird feeling they might.

I see seats in sec 120 for $55

tempting to see Zion - but how much will he really play?

If you look at the threes Lonzo shot in college, you'll see that most of them were stationary, with a little "rhythm hop" to the side he seems to need. College backcourt defenses also sagged way low near the NCAA 3pt line, so Lonzo could take his NBA range threes in peace.

In the NBA, he didn't have that kind of space anymore. Defenders were quicker, taller and faster, and right in his grill if he spent too much time setting up his shot.

WCJ and Felicio are the only players that have the weight to guard Zion.

But their center destroyed us in the Summer League.

Not to mention their 3-P shooting.

This is going to be a good team.

I bet a good amount. He needs to start the season strong as he is going to be an attraction this year (30 national games). I get the summer league thing but he is definitely going to be playing. Also I think they want to compete this year even in the west. If not they wouldn’t have signed JJ. Plus JJ has never missed his playoffs in his career I think. He has a 13 year playoff streak. So you may not see 36 minutes of Zion but I would expect 20+.

Zach Lowe providing some love - has the Bulls fighting for the last two playoff spots with the Pistons, Pacers and Raptors. The Bulls are in a tier above the Hawks, Knicks, Cavs and Wizards.

Yeah he has said that in his podcast too. I have heard 5 or 6 podcasts all predict the Bulls about the same. 8th seed.
