Like others are saying, if Donte stays healthy and his shot becomes more consistent then I don't see why he shouldn't be a good player for a long time.

Donte did enough before getting that golf ball sized bone spur that he should be intriguing to everyone. He is an effort defender. He is great going to the hoop, and he passes well. If his shot falls into the same range that he shot it in college he will be a Brogdon replacement on a team that doesn't even need for him to be that (you know, since we signed Wes Matthews).

This Donte talk is making me think about how deep we are at the wing. It is nice to have that depth throughout the year for injuries and keeping guys fresh but I am very curious to see what type of go to 9 man rotation emerges.

I was able to catch a little of the event towards the end, and saying it was weird doesn't do justice to how cringeworthy it is. I remember Paschke saying something to the effect of "you know, others call you Giannis, but I now call you Yanni. Do I call Thanasis something?" with every bit of the oddball inflection that you would expect from him.

Thannies imo.

I heard this as well. The question was when stating your name to you I say Yanni, but when saying your name to someone else its Giannis. Giannis said that is correct and stated that Thanasis would be Thanasi when talking to him.

So in my mind, sounded odd, but I thought it made sense. Found it somewhat interesting.

Did you really just post a lineup with the starting 2 guard being JR Smith?

Our actual management posted a lineup with the starting 2 guard being Tony Snell.

If Donte can stay healthy and consistently hit the 3 he will be playing a lot I think, he reminds of George Hill more than he does Brogdon.

Donte can ball, he's the type of a player a team like the Spurs love to get their hands on it. If he stays healthy then he will be a big contributor, health is what it comes down to for him.

I'm less worried about the shooting, small sample size and many rookies need time to adjust to NBA range. I hope he finds the range this season.

really interested to see what the guard rotation is going to look like. Bledsoe and who else? I'd wager its probably going to be Wes, but whoever comes out of camp with those minutes will definitely have earned them.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

Some pretty big and important "ifs" surrounding DDV right now. Bud clearly liked him a lot so he'll get a ton of game time. Hope he can take full advantage of it and be more than the scrappy dude he was last season.

I wasn't sure this was legit until I noticed the spelling. Everything appears to be in order.

Many languages have noun cases, Greek, German, Polish etc. English doesn't have cases so it's kinda hard to explain, but yeah this is correct. Lucky that "Giannis" only has two cases, "Gianni" and "Giannis". My name has 3, other names and nouns can have up to 4 (I think).

I said it after we lost game 6 in Toronto, we win the series if we had a healthy Donte. His ability to hit an open 3 and be disruptive on the defensive end would have been big for us. I also still believe we win the Toronto series if we never make the Niko trade and DJ had just kept getting those minutes. Old news though, on to a new season.

When could Donte ever reliably hit an open three?

Why is the scrimmage on a Sunday with a game the next day instead of Saturday?

he was a far better defender than Brogdan last year.

NCAA Championship. Yes, not as a pro, but that was his billing out of college.
