Or maybe Frank can use this as motivation and step his game up lol. Young Kobe even got benched for Eddie Jones

Eddie Jones was a 3x All-Star and All-NBA'er. I don't think anyone would disagree if we had a player like that in front of our youth

Which is exactly why Frank should outplay Payton

If anything that should be easier to do

There's more pressure on DSJ to break out soon since he was a top recruit prospect who was considered a top 3 pick at one point and some thought he was the best PG in his class.

If Lionzo

Lonzo and Fox look significantly better and Frank catches up to him it won't be a good look.

Dude really should be out playing all our guards at this stage in his career

there's also more pressure because he was the main piece returned in the kp trade. it might not be fair to him but the trade looks a lot better if he breaks out.

He was in the physical sense but ultimately it was the cap space that was the main factor so technically the pressure should also go to Julius Randle. He's also playing KPs position

This is so dope to me. I really hope Fiz works out because nobody has really tapped into the possibilities of having mentors around these guys like he has. Fisher was a disaster at that and Hornacek was yes-man puppet for Phil. Fiz gets it at least on the mental and emotional side of things. Needs to prove himself on the X's and O's side this year.

Also looks like Bernard wants to get out there and serve these young bucks buckets

That's the concern.

The Knicks are not going to wait that long. Just like Orlando didn't.

i'm not sure what the answer is though. you can't just pay guys and hope they break out. this is the normal course for guys who take a long time. if it doesn't happen during their rookie deal they probably won't still be on the team that drafted them. billups was a celtic, and i think was on the magic too before he hit with detroit. that's just what happens.

I feel like if he never works out as main coach that he should still stick around as our assistant

I wouldnt read to much into that. Dennis will most likely start but I feel Payton would mesh in the starting lineup better

that's not how it works though, people are not gonna think that way. if kp becomes a star and dennis and these picks amount to nothing, the narrative will be we traded kp for nothing.

Chauncey went from Boston to Toronto to Denver to Minnesota before Detroit.

He got lucky.

I'm going to have to timestamp it that Knox is my pick for biggest surprise this season.

I think RJ will struggle here and there but come out of it looking like a good pick and a tough ass player.

But I think Knox is going to break out. Major surges in his efficiency and beastie on more than a rare occasion. Come at me, sig me and quote me later, wrong or right.

Knox on wood.
