So the unintended consequence of "letting the play develop" is that every borderline thing is a turnover and then you need indisputable evidence to overturn.

I’ve lost faith in Nfl officials if that’s a fumble. They’re so bad and inconsistent you never know which way it’ll go

Thats what I dont get. Is “letting it play out” the same as ruling a fumble?
