So much for the whole Embiid grew to 7'2 talk from last year or whenever.
If he’s 6’11.75” barefoot then he’s 7’1” in shoes, so it’s not far off.
But that isn't the narrative that has gone around for the last couple years. Embiid growing a couple inches has been the narrative. Embiid wasn't 6'9 when he entered the league.
I think its going to be curious to see which players still get called by their shoe heights vs the players that get called by their barefoot height.
His true height finally being revealed doesn’t mean that he didn’t grow. He was listed as 7’0 coming in to the league so he was probably 6’10 or 6’10.5 at that point.
People refer to Deandre Jordan and Andre Drummond as 7’0 tall, when they are basically the same size as Ben Simmons.

Yeah, sure because measuring in metric ... uh, it's better because ... nah, forgot it about it. You can measure in any standard you want. Make it fingers & hands or call it dobops & sterids; it doesn't matter as long as the same rules are used and not ignored or made up. If someone is 5 dobops & 9 sterids tall and someone else is 5 dobops & 7 sterids tall, the second guy is shorter. Taller or shorter is the same in any measurement.
