Denzel Valentine has been the Bulls best player in this game.

I feel for Denzel, that was a full sprint of a 60 yr old. He's playing well though.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

Sato has to look for his shot. Has passed up several layups.

Val just has no legs left.

Thad has no playmaking ability. Please stop doing it.

it kind of feels like we're deliberately trying to run people off the three point line on closeouts, but it's been incredibly easy to pick apart the scrambling defense that ensues

i dunno if that's by design, but if it is i imagine a lot of training camp would be focused on drilling the rotations

Hmm doesn't seem feasible. Any other ideas how a league could adjust the number of 3s taken? Maybe take out their knee caps?

widen the court and make the corner three 22 feet or maybe make it a 2. Those are radical ideas but i can see something happening a few years it's almost like HRs and strikeouts in MLB right now. At a certain point the HR and three pointer get boring. Everything all the time and all that.

Eliminate defensive 3 in the key, stretch the line back by a foot, eliminate corner threes. That'd go a long ways towards restoring the inside and midrange game....without having to shatter any bones in the process.

What if we make normal shots 3s and beyond the stripe shots 4s? That makes the 4 much less relatively valuable. Of course then you've got 50% more free throws, but they could make those quicker by making misses live balls.

Yeah, preseason is barely a notch or two above summer league as far as being able to take anything significant away from the play.

Remember when Derrick Rose looked like MVP Derrick Rose after his first surgery? He looked fast, looked like he added a reliable 3 point shot and as soon as the regular season started, it all went down the toilet.

really hard to judge anybody other than rookies or young players. none of the vets other than dunn has anything to prove out there.
dumbell78 wrote:Random comment....Mikal Bridges stroke is dripping right now in summer league. Carry on.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

Sato has no legs because he needs rest.

Val I’m concerned about. But he looks like he could situationally contribute.

yeah like, thad young looks like **** today but there are few things that matter less than the play of a 31 year old in preseason

It' just the first game, but this is disappointing to get whipped by a the Bucks 2nd and 3rd stringers. Neither Sato, Dunn or White showed me anything to be confident about in a STARTING PG. We really need size too. I think it was a mistake to not bring Lopez back. I'd rather have him over Thad right now tbh.

Do we have too many players? It seems like were playing 15 guys with 3 still injured

Valentine has a lot to prove but he's not gonna do it in an NBA preseason game, that's for sure.

I have no idea what it is. But in todays nba if you cant defend the 3 or have a good offense, you aren't going to win.

We need to establish something.

Everyone has a 20 man roster at this point in the season.

Satoransky is extremely timid. Hell he even looked timid in the media day interview. Val has no legs, but he is smart player. I like what I saw from him tonight. He looks a decent reserve that can give us 15 to 20 minutes a night.
