Saw the suns game last night... they’re gonna be a lot better this year. Ayton looks like he’s ready to dominate with Rubio. Booker was getting buckets as usual. Monty is a big upgrade over Igor. I forgot how good Rubio is as a point guard, no doubt we would’ve made the playoffs if we traded Rose for him in Melos last year with us.

Rubio is gonna put Ayton in the perfect spots to get an extra 2-3 buckets per game. Guys with that type of vision always make it easier for finishers.

Their biggest obstacle is the conference they play in. If they were in the LEast, they’d win 35 games at the min

They committed to the kids but then made some weird signings. At least Rubio is someone who will help the kids progress.

Knicks could have traded down from 3 and gotten a guy who can actually shoot and another player. But no.

I wonder what it's like to get a young player who can actually shoot?

Maybe one day we will know.

The Rubio effect is real. Peep this

I like some of the other moves they made though. Ty Jerome seems like a solid backup, Aron Baynes brings some toughness to the team. Resigning Oubre is huge for their bench. They had a sneaky good offseason imo.

Teams with Rubio should have him operate more from the low post or elbow. I wonder why nobody ever really tried. He can backscreen and he isn't the smallest point guard, maybe he can do damage down low. There have been dominant low post guards in the past.

I respect his vision very much, so I almost feel bad for him that he is now in Phoenix. Imagine what he could have done for the Warriors with Klay and Steph both off the ball :o

Until they take defense seriously they will still lose a ton.
