Would guess that’s our 12 man active rotation. Possibly Robinson moves to the bench and someone else starts, but that looks like a solid mix.

We are a deep team looking at that mix. Plenty of mix and match options for Spo to use.

I feel like Robinson's too scrubby to start. We have better talent we can start

It's better than no reactions. We're fans hungry for Heat basketball after a looong summer. There are many new players to talk about and new match ups to consider. It's the essence of fandom and the purpose of this forum. Love reading people's opinions.

Dion really doesnt wanna come off the bench. Don't get why he's so against it. Could be in the Wade role from last year. Wade still ended up 2nd in PPG on the team with that role.

I understand why Waiters is not content coming off the bench, he one of the most talented players we have after Butler. Maybe Herro has something to say about it. I want him to be the best he can be and he has the talent to do it, but he needs to be a good teammate first and a coachable player, before he can become a leader and one of the priorities for this team.

I mean he's 27 and he wants another contract. Plus it's not like we have an established 2 starting in front of him. Most of what I've heard is that Herro should start which I would be fine with but I get why Dion doesn't want that.

Dion when healthy if nothing else is a tough defender, he's also a decent 3 point shooter. If he wants to gun for the starting spot I'm here for it.

He has a big ego for someone who hasn't done much his career. Long-term I don't think he's a fit here if there's an opportunity he should be moved. I can definitely see him whining if he doesn't get to start or close games.

In terms of starting line-ups. I don't mind Duncan Robinson there if he shoots well. I can see him or Herro starting the season. The endgame is to trade for Beal at some point, I can see them + Winslow getting big minutes to start with in order to showcase them. If Herro can have a couple break out games where he shows his shooting ability, it might be possible to entice Wizards to trade Beal without taking on that awful Wall contract.
Unfortunately for Herro, Winslow the better they play the more chance they'll get moved.

Dion needs to accept his role. If that’s what Spo and the coaching staff think is best for the team, he should embrace it.

Doesn’t mean he won’t play 28-30 a mins a night on days he’s feeling it. It’s just about getting the right mix and rotations together. Still feel that’s best from the bench, personally.

I do understand that Dion feels he’s done the work, and now wants the reward. But he’s gotta realize he needs to prove himself all over again after the past 2 years.
