Good stuff about PJ. JB thinks he’s a 4 and could see time at 5, I like. Also impressed with his 3 ball game. Sounds promising.

I am still perplexed on why they are trying to force feed Miles into a 4 when he is undersized there. I can only surmise they feel he can’t get quick enough to guard many 3’s.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I think PJ is the most well-rounded player we've drafted since Cody Zeller. I can't wait to see him out on the floor.

The team had David West at training camp to share some pointers with PJ Washington.

I have a really, really good feeling about PJ. He's smart, has great size, and he's skilled. I think we may have finally hit on a late lottery pick.

The fact that the most well-rounded player we have drafted recently is Cody is quite depressing.

Although, Mitch seems to be drafting better than Cho ever did.

It'll take more than one preseason game to convince me of his future prowess, but I hope he develops into the player we need.

I'm remaining cautiously like this. MKG was a star in his preseason game.

I don't think we will ruin pj's confidence like we did MKG though

MKG had confidence issues before he got to Charlotte. Remember when he talked about making a panic call to Callipari because he didn't think he belonged in the NBA?

Thankfully, Washington doesn't appear to have any problems in that area.

Yeah I made my point. Looking forward to PJ and Miles should start at SF. They can switch as necessary depending on matchups.

So far this preseason Washington has a positive 8.6 net rating with a true shooting percentage of 76.7 percent.

PJ is already talking about how teams are going to defend him differently post-game and how he's going to counter it. WTF?!? Marvin said he is one of the smartest players he's been around and I believe it.

What have you done Mitch? I can't have hope that we have a really good young player to cheer for. I don't know how to react to that.

Feeling more than good about our future with PJ and Miles at the 4 and 3.

Borrego has impressed me more than I expected this year, and that's by doing one thing that Steve Clifford never did: play a first-round rookie the minutes he deserves. I figured Washington would play well in preseason and, like Monk, be banished to DNP-CDs and Greensboro. It's still early, but if that happens now, Borrego would incite a riot. Washington's too good.

WOOOOHOOOO! Finally we drafted an actual NBA star type of power forward. Mitch has been hitting on his picks and we need that to continue a couple more years.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
