Wait what why?

Any news on the format? I loved the one before where they had Raw vs SD and whoever wins gets a pick.

Stanford wrote:SD! rated behind Hawaii Five-O and Magnum PI, which are apparently shows producing new episodes in 2019 (???), reinforcing why I don't give a **** about TV ratings.

18-49 rating is the number they care about for TV ratings and SD dominated, it got 1.4 and 2nd highest was Hawaii Five-0 at 0.7. The procedural type shows have had high numbers for total viewers for years since they kill with old people, but the advertisers don't care as much about retirees who are holding onto their money and already decided 30 years ago what brands they've committed to

Booker vouching for Big E to face Brock and Henry for Asuka and Lynch should be acknowledged by management.

Also, interesting who will win in the opening Rollins-Reigns for the #1 pick. Wouldn't be surprised to see either win, then draft the other to their brand.

They changed Chad Gable's name to Shorty Gable, what the f***. Gable is the same height as Eddie Guerrero, imagine if they named him Shorty Guerrero.

Like this new attitude from Bayley. She needed to be reinvented

Bayley destroying the Bayley Buddies could not have been a more obvious symbolic act. A child absolutely understands what this means.

Michael Cole, basically: "Hey everyone, Bayley is destroying the Bayley Buddies! This symbolizes the destruction of the fun-loving character she's portrayed her entire career!"

I'm always amazed by how WWE commentary actively makes the product worse these days when, during the Attitude era, it was incredible. Could you imagine Michael Cole trying to call Mankind getting tossed off the cell? He would have found a way to ruin that moment, whereas JR made it one of the greatest moments of all time in wrestling.

It took them about a month to realize that after Bayley turned heel they should probably change her character up lol

SmackDown went from 4.2M viewers in week 1 to 2.8M in week 2, I'm honestly impressed

It will fall lower too. The draft was actually probably keeping it as high as 2.8. In a few months, maybe even weeks, it may be all the way down to 2.4, maybe even 2.3

Its competition is pulling in pitiful ratings, so WWE failing means pro wrestling is failing in the ratings. No reason for optimism either. Sometimes I think this very negative message board is actually happy about this, but as a wrestling fan who grew up watching Superstars of Wrestling regularly, to see a "bad" wrestling show fail to many inferior shows in the ratings is sad and depressing.

I think most are hoping that the constantly dropping rating will lead to WWE actually making the product better. That just has yet to happen. They just continue to do the same crap that hasn't been working for the past decade.

Eric Bischoff out, Bruce Prichard in as new producer for SmackDown. I was hoping to see Bischoff on TV at least once before he left. His theme is great.

Bayley looks cool... not sure I want to see another character who's calling the crowd fickle though. I know one of Becky or Charlotte were losing the title soon cause that wasn't going to be the women's Survivor Series match.

Not a fan of doing the draft that way instead of everyone being in the same pool.

The first week having The Rock, a Brock match and being the premiere was going to inflate ratings obviously. It still did well compared to the rest of Friday schedule

Shinsuke (c) vs Roman for the IC title for tomorrow's SD. Hope Roman wins, I feel like they'd actually feature the IC title if Roman was champ again.
