Josh Hart On Zion Williamson's Strength: 'You Can't Compare It To Nobody'

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat Oct 12, 2019 5:21 pm

Zion Williamson finished with 26 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field in the New Orleans Pelicans' 128-127 preseason win over the Utah Jazz.

"You can't compare it to nobody. Nobody can do that. He does a really good job of being able to use his body. I mean, he's a force," said Josh Hart of Williamson's ability to use his strength.

Williamson is shooting 21-of-25 from the field in two preseason games. In the last 20 years, only Rudy Gay, Kevin Martin, and Shaquille O'Neal have scored more than 25 points while shooting over 75% from the field in multiple games during the preseason.

Rudy Gobert was also impressed with Williamson's athleticism.

"He's kind of surprisingly agile. I think he catches a lot of people off guard because of that. He can change direction pretty quick."

I think you can compare it to Lebron. Most people are weaker than him. Pound for pound though, Zion might be the strongest player in the NBA, it's insane what he can do at 6'6" 280.

Yep, since it is impossible to compare him to nobody Hart is technically correct, but the same statement would be true about every player in the NBA.

I thinks he's the strongest 6-6/7 guy to ever play the game. The only guys much stronger are also much bigger ala Shaq.

Yes. Zion is like Barkley or Griffin, the latter who may be around 2" taller. Not bad for his height, 6-6 now (great wingspan), but it's his weight that concerns me. Is he 275 lbs or 285 lbs now?
