You guys have got to be excited about this kid, right? I'm a Magic fan and he was the guy I desperately wanted us to take.
Glad to see he's doing so well for you guys in your summer league squad.
Your team is going to have so much depth in the backcourt, and front court, with some great veteran stabilisers too.
Anyways, I might drop by here once in a while to keep tabs on NAW. But congrats to you guys on another spot of good luck in all the AD aftermath.

Re: NAWleans
He was 8 or 9th on my personal draft board (behind Clarke but we won't talk about that). He looks super good. Still should probably put get a little stronger though. I'm excited to see him play offball on the regular season squad, think he'd look even better as a secondary ball handler.
He should at the very least be a solid 2 way player, but I see some flashes of potential stardom.

Well NBA teams are good at improving strength. Really like him. Dribble, pass, shoot and defend.

NAW was my favorite rookie coming out of this class. Obviously had a tough shooting game the other night, but I'll be following him all season long. I think he's going to be big for you guys. It's kind of a shame he's stuck behind Lonzo. I think he could be ROY, otherwise...

So what is going on with Nickeil? He looked great in summer league, looked like an all-star in pre-season and now can't buy minutes.

He's not really an ideal fit with the current roster at the moment, plus he has played really bad.
His style of play right now is a ball dominant PnR heavy guard. He leads the team in seconds per touch and PnR frequency. The problem with that is he doesn't run the PnR very efficiently and points per 100 possessions he is a -10 with Jrue and a -4 with Lonzo. He needs to learn how to play off the ball and he needs to learn to defend, some metrics have him as one of the worst defenders in the league so far (RAPM has him 478th defensively). Opponents are shooting 5% above their average against him and the Pels are 4 points worse defensively per 100 with him on the court.
