Having both Harris and Hughes with Rhodes and Waynes, and then Harry. Tough secondary now. Really kind of wondering why Boyd is playing at all.

they do track penalties!

from 2009-2019, everson had 13 offsides

not as prolific as we think turns out, morgan moses had 14 penalties just last year

Does Morgan Moses still have a roster spot anywhere?

Hughes is a wise player. Gets his hand in after the ball each time.

Jones has a rocket arm alright, with pretty good aim. They jut don't have enough targets that can make the play.

Giants made the same mistake VIkings usually do though. All they needed there was a first down. They went for the score instead. Go a little short and help make it easier on your rook QB.

That's the dangerous Digg's routes! Middle field crossing pattern. I liked that play call and sure enough he gains yards after.

This kind of offense again next week against eagles, then Lions goes back to same old one sided ball I suppose.

27 passes to 34 carries. But it was a perfectly called game, it was pretty close to 50/50 all throughout the game up until the end. There was no passing or running down for the team today, the Giants defense never got to pin its ears back knowing a pass was coming. Also by actually throwing it to start the game, you got Cousins into a rhythm and Thielen into the game, also the pass plays weren't either a check down at the line of scrimmage or a deep heave because it was 3rd and long. It was a great mix of aggressive plays and smart plays. Its amazing what this offense and Cousins can look like when given an actually solid game plan.

Kirk typically looks good against mediocre teams, it’s his inability to raise his game against quality opponents that has been disappointing.

I don't think anyone believes he's Tom Brady special. But your statement has to be taken with many grains of salt because it's clear to many that the coaches game plan from game to game is not the same and they are basing their plans, apparently, on how much they fear the opponents defense. These coaches have effectively held themselves back doing this for years and through many quarterbacks.

For one aspect of changes today. Go back and count how many passing targets per play terminated routes behind the line of scrimmage. Then compare that to the prior game. I only saw it once, maybe twice all game today. Where in the previous loss it was pretty much most of the plays. Making sure that all players are positively moving downfield, short or long, was all that was really required to elevate this offense.

I think Cousins kind of compares with the talent of Bradford's arm, but he's not quite as soft and injury prone as Bradford. But like him, he does what the coaches ask of him. Just like when Bradford was here, there were games they looked unstoppable and then ruined portions of seasons where the offense was useless. It's not the QBs, it's the game planning and in game reactions by coaches. They got it right this week, maybe because they were forced to by the receivers, or maybe because of the opponent or both. But the Giants have a defensive line and they brought it enough. Thankfully the game plan wasn't what we saw in Chicago.

Coaches can ruin these games. I watched the Chargers game Sunday and late in the 4th and needing a TD score, the Chargers offense was within the 5 yeardline of reaching the endzone. Had a great drive going up until that point. The coach sends Tyrod Talor out there to stand in shotgun and receive the hiked ball. This sends their starting QB Rivers to stand out wide to fake as a WR target. The ball goes to Tyrod who supposedly has a delayed option to hand it off or keep it. The exchange with the RB goes very poorly and the RB is stopped at the line. This is a pivotal moment in the game with time evaporating to save this game and they pull this half hearted and clearly sloppily prepared attempt at a wildcat? Coaches can be morons.

Before all that, the Chargers fall behind because they are wasting plays trying to start Gordon who's only had 4 individual practices since returning. It's apparent in the 3rd and 4th quarters as Gordon is constantly walking up to Rivers during hurry up offense and late in the count asking what his job is on the current play. A. He doesn't even know the plays yet. Why is he playing already? He got most of the runs and Ekeler received most of the receptions. B. That get's predictable real fast. These are coaching failures. The point is they lose for being stupid. It isn't necessarily the talent or the QB.
