I Love our Fox Broadcasting crew

Post#1 » by OrlandoSaban » Sun Oct 13, 2019 8:06 pm

I have been saying this for at least 5 seasons

Can JT please for the love of basketball take his microphone back perhaps 2 inches?

It’s been like this for as long as I can remember

3 inches is all I am asking for. It makes games unlistenable and this season we are supposed to be somewhat decent. It’s so difficult to listen to a game when it sounds like he is slobbing all over his mic.

I just watched a replay and his mic is too close to his mouth once again. At least 5 seasons

I like how you prefaced this thread with a compliment.

All I can say is that I've listened to many other crews around the league and we really do have the best.

Jeff Turner is a moron but it's tough not to love David Steele. He's an OG. Wish it was still Guokas/Steele.

Maybe its just nostalgia, but I'll always miss the David Steele/Matt Goukas tandem. JT has grown on me a bit through the years but he's never been able to replace Matt goukas and the chemistry he and David Steele had on air.

Miss Matt for sure, for what I read it's possible management didn't like him being honest with the team's play on air.

In his role as color commentator, Guokas didn't shy away from occasionally pointing out the Magic's flaws. He did so in an understated fashion.

I like JT. It's cool how his dad is the dancing usher.

I think he had a scandal with a young girl.

You have to be like a politician to do that job or really any job affiliated with the NBA

Goukas > Goose

Goukas was so good they'd get him to do the Finals on NBC with Marv in the Golden Age of NBA broadcasting.

Guokas/Steele >>>>>>

DS is one of the best NBA broadcasters and Dante is a decent anchor. JT annoys me, but as a whole the broadcast works well because they all have good chemistry.

Agreed. JT is competent at best, but is terribly annoying. He just doesn’t add much if anything to a broadcast.

I’d actually prefer that is was just DS, and do the broadcast without JT.

Can only echo what's being said.

I don't watch many games (thanks time-zones!) but when I do watch the odd home game I always end up rolling my eyes at JT.

I'm in on Turner now. Took me awhile to get there, but I'm a fan now. Steele and Turner are one of the best pairings around the league.

I wish I could get to the point where I didn’t want to commit murder when hearing kapaya! But I’m not there yet

Matty Goukas is 75 years old if you can believe it.

Turner has grown on me over the last couple of years.

I know I may be in the minority but I don't like the "is this anything", I just want to watch the game. Which takes me to what I hate the most which is the camera cuts, we miss so many inbound steals and more just to cut to a close up of someones face.

I do like Steele and JT though.

In my opinion we do have one of the better broadcasting teams in the league
