We look to keep as much of the young talent as possible of-course. Don't do it if we got to give up too much.... I agree that we shouldn't go the Knicks route...
But on the flip side, you don't want to end up like Boston: sit on your assets till they lose all value and then you're stuck in treadmill land.

Washington wanting Herro, Winslow, Bam, and picks for Beal is insulting. They can FO, and I don't mean they can Front Office.

This is an example of a forum who been indoctrinated by defensive players draft picks, who is now seeing an offensive 1st drafted player since Beasley and Wade has many feining like a crackhead after his 1st high.

Relax a bit, let it play out some. So many lows and highs in this room. I want you all to enjoy but please don't lose your sanity. Age of social media creating so many stans like behaviors.

That is not a real rumor. Washington will probably sell to highest bidder at the trade deadline or summer. Plenty of time to evaluate Herro.

Miami would be smart to wait until draft night. We might be able to package our 2020 pick (at draft night tradeable), a lottery-protected 2025 (which will be tradeable too), along with JJ and Waiters (both who will be expirings next season). Two picks seems good compensation for Beal, if he wants to leave anyhow.

Keeping Herro, Bam, and Winslow, while adding Beal to the Butler-led Heat could make us a contender.

I suspect that Washington doesn't really think that such an offer would be accepted by Riley. It's obviously unreasonable. If they did make such a demand it would be to start the negotiation from an extreme position in hopes of getting the best haul possible which in their eyes is probably something like Herro, Winslow, DJJ, fillers, and multi FRPs.

Yeah, that's unlikely to happen too. Once Beal turns down the extension this will get a lot more interesting.

YUP. That's more like the deal we should go for thought it's a bit too optimistic. One the Herro/Bam/Winslow will have to be included though.

Washington wanting Herro, Winslow, Bam, and picks for Beal is insulting.

Agree completely!!!

At the risk of hijacking my own thread, other worthwhile trades ideas that Mia should explore are for other SG's that might become available like Hield and Oladipo.

If Hield and Sac can't agree on an extension then Riley ought to try and pounce. Don't really know what they would want for Hield, TBH. They seem to have a lot of young talent spread across all positions.

Oladipo will be a UFA after 20/21. Skolnick seems to think that he might become a FA target for Mia.

With Herro and Butler what would be the point of pursuing a SG?

Mia values SG's/swingmen and shooters in general; in fairness, every team does in today's NBA more than ever, seemingly.

I've seen unofficial reporting that he is ineligible to be traded this season as a result of the extension.
