Poirier might be our best bet against Embiid. Theis might start but I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of Veep. Embiid is probably the worst matchup in the L for Theis, even AD isn't so bad. I expect Embiid to go to the line 20+ times. The key will be not to let the other guys go off.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Celtics doubled Embiid a lot too

Sixers shot very poorly from three in the preseason, so the Celtics might bet on them missing threes if they get open ones from Embiid double teams

Embiid is going to get his. I think the key is to hit more 3 point shots and at a higher percentage than Phily.

I think that if the Boston Celtics score more points than the Philadelphia 76ers, there is a good chance of pulling off the win.

2 things:

I have very little faith in stopping Embiid. We don't have the guys. Still not sure why Danny traded Baynes? But i am honestly not looking forward to what he and Horf are going to do. Prove me wrong, green team!!

Secondly, if Sabonis is avbl, I can't imagine it would take too much to get him considering he'll need to get paid soon. We do have that Bucks pick. Would Indiana want to do business with us, though? Idk but we really could use someone like him.

Trying to "out big" the 76ers is a guaranteed loss. I'd stay small and run them to death.

When does Javonte Green become official?
Or is it just business as usual, and he's already on?

With the dust settling, it looks like five rookies made the 15 man roster: Langford, G Williams, Edwards, Poirier, and Green.

Plus the Celtics have the coolest 2 way pair in world history: Tacko and Waters.

Two of the rookies, Poirier and Green, are the 6th and 7th oldest players on the team.

That was a cool thing for the Celtics to do. Dammit... Strus is going to be a good player for some "other" team.

Strus probably makes the team in most other years. His shot is silky. Green just grabbed his opportunity by the balls in pre-season though. As long as he’s better than Brandon Wallace :)

Where's Tatum? Controversy! Probably too busy watching Power.
