I get that it's business and not personal, but with some guys it's personal. Wish we would have kept Jose until he was 50.

Well, there is the possibility that nobody was signing Jose that winter because they didn’t want to give up the pick and pay him a big salary while taking on all his baggage.
I think there were much bigger mistakes than that one imo. Trading Happ too late and hanging onto Estrada too long. Giving Urshela away. Among Others.
