OKC/Miami/Clippers Mega deal

Post#1 » by Saul Goodman » Mon Oct 21, 2019 2:27 am

To OKC
James Johnson
Meyers Leonard
Mo Harkless
Kelly Olynyk
Jerome Robinson
Mfioundo Kabenegele

to Miami
Chris Paul
Danillo Gallanari

To LAC

Goran Dragic

OKC uses the value of Gallo to dump Chris Paul while also getting some okay young pieces.

Miami goes all the way in. if health permits they can legit get to the finals

The Clippers get a great vet playmaker and shooter for guys who wont hit the court anyway.

1. This trade would be done during the season?

2. Gallo doesn't have nearly as much value as you are assigning him or else you are underestimating the negative value of Chris Paul.

Ehh, I like Harkless quite a bit, deal seems easier without the Clippers.

Miami passes. 44m for a 37-year-old is not mega-good.

For what it's worth, this probably doesn't work for Miami with them being hardcapped and whatnot.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

It’s not good, but if we can get Gallo signed to a 3-year deal then we line up all the big deals & have a solid core locked up. Also, if we can use CPs negative value to get Gallo for role players then I’m all for it.

Depth at C will be an issue, and this deal won’t work for our hardcap though. JJ/KO/Dragic/Mion gets us within less than $2m, and keeps Leonard - still a smidge off, but closer.

I think if they added Neon Dion and got Noel back it would solve all above issues
