Marcus Morris took some shots at Kyrie for last years failure:

https://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/ny-marcus-morris-kyrie-irving-boston-celtics-locker-room-20191021-cisa6tvjzrh3blaitezvhymnh4-story.html?outputType=amp&__twitter_impression=true

“The teams are different. We don’t have that one guy where it’s like, okay, he’s first,” Morris said. “It’s a team thing. No knock on Ky, but obviously he’s a superstar, he’s first. Sometimes his emotions were put in front of the team. I think here, we’re all transparent with each other. We can all go up to each other and be honest with each other. That’s the biggest thing, when you can go out and speak to your brother.”

“Each of those situations we brung in different guys in. So it’s kind of different (with the Knicks). In Phoenix, we played really well, then we brought Isaiah Thomas in, we brought a lot of other guys in,” Morris said. “The team chemistry was there but it kind of pushed some guys to the back. In Boston same thing, Kyrie goes down, we finish the season with a lot of young guys. Everybody knows their role. So when he comes back, it’s hard for everybody to take a step back. In this situation, we’re all hungry. And everybody is ready. At the end of the day, nobody is bigger than the team.”

Somewhere, Prokhorov is in a corner crying, now saying that Morris was a cancer and part of the toxic youth instead of the vets trying to save the team with Kyrie...

"It's the young guys' fault for not taking a backseat!!".

If he were smart, he'd realize that everyone took a backseat to Kyrie last season, and Kyrie rewarded them by playing like complete trash against the Bucks, sinking the ship into the deep abyss. It's no surprise that Brad didn't want to name a captain last season. Wouldn't be shocked if he named Marcus the captain this season, since the rest of the guys in that locker room right now won't get their feelings hurt like Kyrie.

When he comes to Boston, I want them to replay his commercial with his dad. I want someone from the crowd to yell out "Hey Kyrie! Where's Jayson Tatum?", followed by the rest of the Garden to start chanting out "Suck my d*ck!" for the rest of the night.

Then they're fools. He's a winning player and at 6-11 he's not a wing.

Kelly Olynyk got a decent payday and I think Sabonis is better.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Sabonis is smart, excellent passer, scores at all three levels. Perfect Horford replacement.

As for paying him, it's not a problem if Hayward opts out. Even if Hayward doesn't, you can choose to match offers on either Sabonis or Brown if you don't feel you can pay both.

So basically 4 first round picks for Sabonis? I like Sabonis but thats a lot for a guy you have to pay next year.

Right now, Sabonis is better than any center Boston has, but he's still not realistically worth going after.

The problem with acquiring him Is he's got short arms and would not help the defense. That's not the guy to get for a high price. If they did get Sabonis, the Celtics would still need to upgrade the position, but would have diminished assets to do it.

So yeah, get him if it doesn't doesn't cost much in outgoing assets, but it sounds right now like it would cost a lot.

Scores at 2/3 levels..

And that's a huge overpay, look at what Indiana wants to give him In salary cap- less than Turner's 18 million. I don't think even Myles Turner is worth that package..

Kanter and maybe the MIL 1st in December would be trade market value..

Maybe they are revealing the new City jerseys. Apparently, they will be black. And if I had to guess, they'll probably be using the same City jersey from 2018, but changing it to black, similar to what you see in the logo on this jacket.
