Sure the correct outcome was reached, but I'm not going to give the front office any credit.

For one, Johnson never should have been brought in to begin with. All he did was take away developmental time from Khyri, and Sekou. Also, even though his contract was mostly un-guaranteed he still got some money. Which for a team trying to dance around the luxury tax, every dollar spent counts.

Secondly, I'm not so sure they made this move with the proper vision. It very well could have been a simple matter of them not being able to find a taker for Khyri in trade. That or Johnson's achilles flairing up forced their hand.

All that said, despite all the downside to having Joe Johnson around they didn't compound the problem by keeping him. So I guess that's a win.
Church.(just got done watching el camino)

Next up is seeing how this pathetic front office handles the expiring contracts. Jackson and Langston are around 25 million and could help the team land a third star if a team that is supposed to be good falters. I could name some players I want, but we'll see what happens.

Package those two expiring contracts and a pick for...

I read that we are $4K below the luxury tax line.

Signing Joe Johnson, in the first place, was just comedy.

Name some players name some players name some players :D
Heres the thing, players I want will only include players I feel are honestly available,(some more difficult to land then others)and could potentially(!) have a huge impact on this team.

Brandon Ingram.-He is young, and versatile player and i honestly believe he could be had. He has his detractors, and has some issues he needs to resolve but could be an excellent fit and make the team huge up front with Blake and Andre. This team needs a bigger wing in the east.

Andrew Wiggins-look, I know the issues involved here I'm a big stats guy. That said, he is a 20ppg scorer, and perhaps with the right environment and change of scenery he could blossom. Honestly he is the biggest POTENTIAL boon for the team out there that could be had.

Caris Levert-Iffy as hell, but if Brooklyn feels they could land a whale with a huge contract next year giving them expiring contracts and a pick for some of their junk along with LeVert it could happen. No Durant perhaps this year, so they could be enticed into having huge capspace available. More of a long shot in my mind but would fit splendidly. Would love this guy in a Pistons uniform.

Joe Harris-If you cant have one great SF how about two average ones?(Snell/Harris)gritty player who plays hard as hell, and can shoot the hell out of the ball. I guarantee he is available for the right price. Would be a slightly above average starting SF that could really space the floor. Again, almost a lost season for the Nets, so they are going to be more open to trades to improve looking ahead.

Josh Jackson-I can already hear the boos, but with Memphis just announcing that they wont pick up his 4th year option, this former #4 pick is only 22 and has shown flashes. Could be had for peanuts. LOTS of baggage, but forgotten players have flourished on this team before, and he has to prove he belongs in the NBA. Boom or bust pickup here.

Robert Covington-Would be perfect, and the Wolves could be tempted with expiring contracts. Would be a great fit here. Can shoot and defend. I would jump for joy if he ended up in a Pistons uniform. The Wolves are going to be hard pressed to make the playoffs this year, so I believe it could happen with the right package.

Devin Booker-Reports are that he is available, but the cost could be enormous. If the right package could be figured out that doesnt include a portion of our frontcourt, I would do it. Expirings, picks, and Kennard.

Otto Porter-Above average SF, would fit nicely, and can shoot.

Marcus Morris-We already know what he brings, and would fit nicely. New York is collecting forwards for some reason. Idiot franchise.

There are a few more but in the end I have no faith that anything will happen.

Also, can RealGM be any worse? It has taken me forever to type this out as my phones keyboard keeps disappearing. Man this website just SUCKS sometimes. I get you need money but the user experience just blows.
