Again, it's super disrespectful and offensive to say these guys "act" woke. America is a great country and better than quite a few across the world but it can still be greatly improved and a lot of these guys are trying to fight for that. Just because they don't openly care about worldly issues means NOTHING about how they feel about domestic problems.

Seems like you know even less about American issues than you claim NBA players/coaches know about international issues.

No, disrespectful is to act like you are for freedom of speach and basic human rights, and turn blind eye when freedom hurts your wallet. You literally just admied hypocricy. You can't pick and choose where it matters.

If i belive every person should be able to choose what's best for him or her and have basic human rights, than i mean for each and every person in a world, not only ones lucky enough to be born in right places. China has censorship of media since 1911. Censorship of movies since 1978.
How far comunist stupidiy goes ?

How about reasons why Harry Potter was banned from China ?

Banned for a short period due to the films extensive use of glasses worn on the characters face.
:banghead:

Bottom line, you are either "woke" and you care for people basic rights in general, of you are not. Kerr, Popovich, Lebron and many others used political agenda to self promotion where they knew that it helps them and their brand. In moment when they had something to lose from policy, they backtracked from it. Hypocricy 101.

That's how every misdeed is rationalized. Picking and choosing is precisely what makes it hypocritical. If there is no sacrifice involved, then it's nothing more than PR.

If someone wants to kowtow to China for more disposable income, so be it. That's their prerogative. It's mine to think they are pathetic for doing so. This isn't at all unique to NBA players. Most people sell their dignity for far less.

i dont view putting food on the table as "disposable income". Yes, for someone like Morey, he already has millions. But if you are asking the opinion of the Manager of concessions, the person who runs the e-commerce website, the non-millionaire people, to take a stand where they might not see a paycheck, or diminished salary that affects groceries, school, childcare, etc, it is a bit different.

Great way to waste his prime years.

About Bonga. I've seen him play in Germany & he wasnt even ready to play there. He was a PG but that won't work in the NBA & his body is still light years away for a NBA SF.

That's true, like when they pick the product made in China because it saves them a quarter.

Let's go Pelicans! Everyone in the east is our competition so I want Raptors to lose. They looked pretty good in the preseason though, when they hit 24 3 pointers in one game.

It's kind of crazy how similar both Fultz and Lonzo (top 2 guards from 2017 draft) are. Both guys came in as shooters and both guys have struggled mightily shooting it. Lonzo's jumper still looks just as broken as Fultz's does to me. Both guys have also had injury-riddled first two seasons but have flashed the playmaking and defensive potential we thought they had coming out.

I'm far from giving up on either player, but it's amazing how two guards that were considered transcendent can't miss talents coming out of college have faired so far. Hopefully, both guys can stay healthy and start to put it together this season.

I'm liking what I'm seeing from NAW so far. This is his 1st stint as a pro and he already looks like he belongs.

Wow, Siakam and VanVleet with a big scoring statement tonight. Huge games from both of them.

I feel like Toronto might rebound quickly without Kawhi, as long as they play their cards right with Siakam.

VanVleet would look really good on this team if Toronto ever opted to rebuild. Toronto looks like a top 5 seed to me though.

Jesus, so many Laker fans are such entitled, greedy children. You have Lebron and Davis forces his way to LA and it's still not enough. It's like they think they have a god-given right to every single star player.

It doesn’t make someone any less of a coward or a fraud simply because they’re looking out for their best interests. People talk big in the company of friends and allies. When there is real risk of loss, you see who has true character and who does not. Kerr is a fraud as are any of the other “woke” celebs that like to tell us all what is right and wrong.
