I think that's unlikely. If it was a younger kawhi, I can see that, but this guy is 28 and he has to choose his spots. But the 67 win spurs team he was on was phenomenal. he played great that yr. It just so happened curry played better. The raptors got close, within 2 games of reaching 60, so it is possible. I just don't think its likely.

I am usually a wee bit optimistic with these. As always it mostly depends on health.

I'm going to echo SK21209 and go with 58-24.

Man, I don't know how you guys are that confident, particularly with the holes in the roster, injury, rest and load management.

52-55ish the range. I think it'll be a repeat of last yr where the top seed in the west will be around that 57,58 Mark.

56-ish sounds about right to me. i expect lots of rest and random downtimes to maximally prepare for the playoffs.

I voted 50-54

We're full of players that treat the regular season as practice, and Doc himself tends to emphasize being ready for the postseason over regular season wins. Plus, we're gonna rest a lot of people a lot of the time, and there's gonna be an adjustment period where we're not gonna be great. And our defense will suck for a while, until the veterans start trying and the rotations start shortening.

This is a team built for playoff success, not as much for the regular season, I think.

How is that number so high? Kawhi is not going to play that many games to impact to 65 wins.

Thought there was a report that there wouldn't be as much "Load Management" this year?

Nonetheless, Pat Bev is one of the leaders of this team. It's also a Doc led NBA team. Trezzy is on this team.
The effort will be there during the 82 games and we're going to play a good brand of basketball most nights.
We also have young guys who will be hungry putting out max effort.

Doc has emphasized being ready for the postseason in the past but those teams were:
1) Battle tested;
2) Aged;
3) Because of 2) probably didn't really have a choice but to emphasize being ready for the postseason over the 82 games season.

We can do 60-65 barring injury.

Correct, kawhi has denied it but doc had hinted at it happening. Said he's not worried about seeding over resting guys. He rather have guys healthy than having the number 2 seed and hockey into the playoffs.

The whole preseason seemed load managed especially since kawhi said he was his to go and doc didn't play him much at all in the pre-season.

Which gives me reason to believe he will load manage

High 50s. I'll go with 58.

As for Kawhi's load management, I think it'll happen. But I also think he'll play a little more than last year ... between 65 and 70 games. I think PG will play almost as much--and I think he'll be much harder to load manage. He's a gamer. He was injured in 2014; other than that, he's averaged 78 plus games and over 2800 minutes since 2012. That guy wants to stay on the court.

Still have 60-65?

I don't anticipate kawhi to play any back to backs.

And yeah we have young guys but there's a saying in this league. You win with men, not boys. With kawhi sitting out, minus PG the replacements are not better than SGA and gallo

Effort isn't going to get 60-65 wins in the west. Talent and skill is

Yeah. I'll stick with it.

Him sitting out doesn't scare me.
Losing a game like we did at Phoenix scares me.

Barring injury, I'm assuming this team will hit its stride at some point this year and, at the very least, make 60 look like a possibility.
