I did a great job predicting the final record last season as the season went on. All you need to know is that we could be 4 games under .500 at the all-star break and still easily make the playoffs. .500 at the all-star break would give us a good chance of being a top 5 team in the east.

I think Miami is going to try to give Dion’s minutes to Nunn. Probably gonna see if he can give gel with Dragic off the bench.

Dion time in miami just(ise) ended. Nunn one wants him in the heat lineup. You cant see a Silva lining in having him on the team

I just looked over the Kendrick Nunn contract. We have him for 2 seasons and can extend him. He's RFA in July 2021, and we will have bird rights.

Right, and if by some miracle he becomes some crazy star level player warranting a 30 mill per year contract, his cap hold would be sweet f a right? Like 3.7 mill or something? We could sign up big players and resign over the top

I know, right? How do we keep doing this? It almost makes up for signing JJ and Waiters.

C - Bam Adebayo
PF - KZ Okpala / Chris Silva
SF - Jimmy Butler / Duncan Robinson
SG - Tyler Herro
PG - Justise Winslow / Kendrick Nunn

Basically this roster is locked in for post 21 FA and we have room for 1 max still.

So is the rotation gonna be

Winslow-Dragic
Herro-Nunn
Butler-Jones/Okpala
Leonard-Robinson/Silva
Adebayo-Olynyk

I hope James Johnson comes back eventually, he could help, I'd also start Olynyk over Meyers quite clearly

Winslow/Dragic
Nunn-Herro
Butler/Robinson/Okpala
Olynyk/Jones Jr/Johnson
Bam/Olynyk/Leonard/Silva

Soon I hope.

Lineups w Bam+Olynyk together as much as possible for max offensive fluidity + One of Butler Winslow on the floor defensively is key imo.

Nunn looking like a 25+ minutes per type player tbh

Considering age and character, I see zero reasons to think Dion > Nunn.

Riley is taking it back to the 90's when conditioning was #1 and scouting for the next John Starks, Anthony Mason, Voshon Lenard and Bruce Bowens to surround your superstar was the way to build.

Bingo!! This is the Riley I grew up with. And yes once upon a time in the 90's I was a Knicks fan

No shame. Those 90's Knicks were tough as nails. All underdogs and rejects playing next to Ewing. Riley built the Heat the same way. He got himself a star in Mourning and put a couple of rejects (Hardaway, Mashburn) and a bunch of underdogs (Brown, Lenard, Austin) around him.

Im a little pissed, Nunn had a better rookie debut than every rookie (excluding PJ Washington 27) and our own Tyler Herro. THERE IS NOOOOO one talking about him at all....They still talked about Ja Morrant measly 17 points

Ja Morant tried to outshine Leonard as the worst player on the court last night. Got stuffed and turned it over 5-6 times each.

Nunn is old and not on the radar. All the preseason narratives are set. It takes more than an opener to change the discourse.

Nunn is an older rookie, he's not old.

Nunn's not old but he's over four years older than Tyler Herro, so, yeah, old for a rookie. Brilliant start and a 2-year lock with RFA though...

If he plays well, we can sign him to an extension in two seasons.
