Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Apparently it's descending and the last year isn't guaranteed. I'm good with this.

I was surprised by the timing of this. Im sure they have been talking but I wonder if the China situation played a small role in getting it done now. If the league and China dont work things out it takes a big hit financially, likely affecting the salary cap thus lowering what teams could spend on players. Maybe a bit of a hedge by Cedi and his agent?

I doubt it, I mean the amount that was agreed a pon is less than most players in Cedi's situation would accept.

That was kind of my point. Rather than wait to see if he can improve his game throughout the season and thus increase what he should be paid, he signed now. It may just be he wanted the commitment and guaranteed money now and is happy to have it done so it is not a concern trying to get it done during the season. Maybe he is happy here and took a bit less than he could possibly have got if he had played out this season, but I still wonder if we may see more guys getting guaranteed money that is below what would seem to be market value if the NBA and China cant put the Morey tweet behind them in a business sense.

We barely played Cedi on Hayward yesterday. In terms of Doncic, we threw a lot of bodies at him. It didn't make a difference.
