What in the nine hells are you talking about? Jarrett Jack was old and bad but he's a better mentor than these **** turds.

Dolan and Phil? The cancer is still here and he's got silver hair and pictures of Dolan or something.

Kp had no other choice but to say something about these phucking clowns.

So long as management does not 'appear' to make good use of the cap room that the trade opened up, this trade is going to look bad - since the value of the cap space we got back might have been worth an additional 2 or 3 #1 picks (based on previous transactions).

This is where the grumbling about this current mismatched roster naturally leads to understandable misgivings about the trade.

I was royally pissed at KP asking for a trade, but I wouldn't do the deal if I knew that all I was getting back from the cap space is two mediocre big men who can't defend.

Mills and Perry just didn't want to give him the max.

I think right now its pretty clear, if you just look back and think about what really happened.

When we all foolishly assumed at the beginning of 18-19, that KP, DUDE WHO IS RECOVERING FROM ACL, with full recovery ahead of him, when you don't know how it could end up, was completely fine with waiting for a year, instead of securing 150mil.. Completely reasonable, right?

KAT, Booker, and all the other dudes, who were healthy, were like, **** your capsapce, I want my money right now. (ANd Suns could've actually used an extra 9~mil this year, instead, they had to dump TJ Warren.) But nah, KP was completely fine with it.

And if you want to believe this theory, it means that at the beginning of 18-19, KP and FO were fine, they talked about his deal, that he wants to be here, and he wants to WIN SO MUCH, he is willing to wait for his 150mil for a year, to just help a team have an extra 8-10mil or whatever it was.

So again, it means that something that pissed him of so much, he requested a trade, happened during a year he wasn't even playing.

I mean, maybe, he indeed thought team with THJ and Kanter as the main guys is gonna be good, but when they were winning like 14 games in February, he couldn't stand it no more and wanted out..?

Timing was terrible, too. Guess the FO thought counting their losses and making everything ready for Durant was less risky than weathering out the storm with Porzingis. The lesson here is never make plans around other people's future decisions.

"Weathering the storm" meant 5 years at 30 million per.

Or he expired for nothing, the team still has THJr and CLee on the roster and no Dallas picks, even if they wind up 18-25 or whatever

But yes, let's re-litigate the KP trade which only got 400 pages of commentary at the time it happened. Yes, lets.

It's either that or re-litigating the Melo trade again

Figure we'll do that a few more times this year
BaF Lakers:

Nikola Topic/Kasparas Jakucionis
VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles
Alex Sarr/Clint Capela

Bench: Malcolm Brogdon/Hansen Yang/Rocco Zikarsky/RJ Luis Jr.

Not. I've reconsidered my stance and now believe the trade with Denver was a great success and Phil offering the NTC was absolutely brilliant.

So 21 year old all-star all defense with an ACL tear is a complete non starter. Throw in 1 1/2 years of rehab while we tank. But you're all in on a 100 x worse injury to a 31 year old KD? Hypocrites getting hoodwinked by the silver fox.

I love that people think that we shouldve held onto KP and hoped that KP is the franchise player that we know he aint at franchise player dollars.
And basically trading Barret for Culver, brilliant!

I think the trade value has to be weighed against KP at $30M per year. He’s had two good games but I’m still not panting over the right to pay KP a Max. I feel Mitch might have greater overall impact.

Teams weren’t lined up to trade for KP and I don’t know that they’d be even if he plays well and remains healthy.

So we sold low but what for him is high? That part is pretty unclear.

Rather have Markkanen.

No I was trepidatious about both and I feel that’s probably the majority of well-informed Knicks fans.

Who are you to say he will be? He is a very good defender and a good offensive player so far. The rest is unclear.
