I know it's only been two games but he's at 18.5/5/9 with a 38 PER so far in only 24 MPG. He has become so much better at getting to and finishing at the rim. He sees the floor better than he did before. And he just looks effortless out there right now. Can't wait til he starts getting his minutes increased and starts playing with White. He's a terror on defense and he definitely looks like the Spurs most impactful player right now

Well worth the risk. Really nice young 2 way player. I'd rather have him than Jamal Murray for example, who got a way bigger contract.

I like Dejourte as well, but to make the claim you'd rather have him over Jamal Murray is complete and utter insanity.

You still think it’s utter insane ? Jamal is the most overrated player in this league .

Always one to admit when I over-stepped. Dejourte is BALLING out this year so far and developing into the player we all hoped he was pre-injury. It's his defense that is most remarkable, can't teach that desire.

I certainly don't have my finger on the pulse of Spurs basketball, but watching that Spurs vs. Wizards game, I would be inclined to believe that the contract will be seen as a shrewd bargain before too long. Dejounte's floor is that of a solid starter with that burst, motor and approach.

While DJM has been pretty inconsistent for a few reasons so far this season, jumper range isn't there yet, had some down games, and been on and off the bench -- been definitely playing better the last week or so, and this is pretty remarkable for him.

Minutes restrictions have been lifted as of last game. Second game of 30+ minutes. The consistency on the court should reap great rewards, among them more line-up combinations, such as DJ and Derrick on the floor together for great back court defense.

Will be interesting to see how much better he gets over the next 2-3 seasons. Slowly has gotten better as long range shooter; still has inconsistent stretches.. but better this year than ever.
