I just looked at the Mavs vs. Wizards box score and was shocked to not recognize like half the names on the Wizards lol. They're starting Ish Smith and Isaac Bonga right now...

The clippers are going roll a lot of teams so can't read too much into this one game but I really don't think GS is going to be that good this year.

They have to play more bad players than the suns.. like they started glenn Robinson and he wouldn't make this suns team much less be in the rotation.

I was about to post the same thing. That Warriors team is just not that good. A few thoughts
1) I am not sure they should have locked Green in next year with Klay and Curry on the books for 80m - with him its now 110
2) i think if Minnesota wants Russell for Covington and Teague - they might do that kind of deal. I get why they traded for Russell - had to get something

3) that team is not very good and why Green was such a good fit with the talent around them last year - makes him not the right first now - he can't score the ball.

4) the Warriors had a historical five year run in terms of winning percentage but karma is a b**ch and that crap Kerr pulled two years ago having Green and Iggy coach against the worst team in the league, the team I root for , the Suns was just rude and disrespectful. they deserve to get rolled every night. Teams are going to roll them if they can. A lot of teams were beaten bad by them - and they were a tremendous team - but teams are going to exact a piece of revenge.

The Warriors are probably worse than I thought but I don't think one bad loss to the Clips is real telling. I still think any team with Curry and Green will be tough on most nights. Looney was still coming back from injury, and they are still acclimating Russell. It really comes down to how well Russell fits in and how well their other players play.

I don’t think GS will be able to maximize Greens talent with their roster.... GS doesn’t have any switchable wings... and 2 of their 5 non gleague players are centers meaning Green has to play PF... GS won’t be able to run their switch heavy or small ball lineups where Green maximizes his strengths.

I don’t think Green will be close to an all star / defense mvp this year because of this... which will kill their playoff hopes.

I understand one game does not a season make. But Russell statistically doesn’t shoot the high % Klay and Durant did - so defenses can truly overplay Steph.

And Green was a great facilitator with those guys. He is not the guy to get you 18. Team had a heckuva run. But there are going to be ugly nights .

I agree, Klay's gravity cannot be understated, so if Curry gets clobbered like Booker does it makes it impossible. Russell did shoot fairly well last year though....I think like over 37% and he might get better...I generally think they should develop more chemistry and he should improve throughout the year. I thought Draymond might have worked on and gotten his 3 ball back....so far it doesn't look like it.

All that said: 7 playoffs 5 finals 3 titles and if not for a Green kick and KD Achilles, maybe five titles. Amazing run

Heck we just want the Suns to be competitive. Granted8 years ago - we are where the Warriors were too. Just hoping to be better and push the playoffs

I'm just hoping the Warriors are terrible this year to allow me to actually be able to afford to go to a basketball game. Nosebleeds are $80+ for the Suns-Warriors Wednesday night game...

Looking at the Heat's starting lineup today I'm thinking "Wow, that's a young lineup...almost a tanking lineup"...two rookies, Bam, Justise and Meyers Leonard.

Bucks were beating them pretty bad.

Now they are winning and Bam and Winslow both almost have triple doubles. It's crazy that Bam has like 8 assists along with 10 boards. Justise has 7 assists with 13 boards. They keep playing this well, they will be real tough whenever Jimmy Butler starts playing.

I'm still confused why Sacramento signed him, did they not watch and tape on him last season.

Warriors getting absolutely embarrassed by OKC. Guess starting chriss wasn't the secret weapon. Like I was saying the other day they play way too many just **** players. That's really tough out west.

Russell has also been terrible today. They pretty much need him green and Curry to all be really good to win.
