Well he didn't cite Saleh. You can't say it's not working, at least so far.

Even if they got rid of Saleh, have the 49ers built the roster to run the Seattle scheme, so that switching wouldn't be easy?

Yes. I see no reason to get rid of Saleh at this point. The defense is playing very well and everything is clicking. Never thought all that much of Dan Quinn. He was a DC under Carroll when the Hawks defense had the most talent in the NFL. He also had Carroll there to oversee things. Reminds me of the 49ers hiring Nolan who was DC of the Ravens. Almost anyone could have had success as coordinator of that defense with the talent they had.

This guy is really getting on my nerves. I know a LOT about football and Saleh's name isn't familiar with me! I HOPE WE'RE ONE OF THE TEAMS LOOKING AT MARVIN LEWIS TO BRING HIM IN AT DC!!!

After 6 games, I think Saleh is the last person the Niners are thinking of firing.

Which defense is better, 2012 49ers or 2019 49ers?

2012 has more sentimental value for me because of Willis and Bowman.

2019 has to be better. There isn't a single weak link on the defense.

CB depth could be better, but when Witherspoon comes back, that D will be friggn' scary.

In 2012, one CB spot wasn't great. And as much as I liked Ahmad Brooks, he was no Dee Ford. NT wasn't dominant, either.

Through 7 games this one is certainly better against the pass. This team much much more pressure on the QB than the 2012 group and does a better job of simply demoralizing offenses

Man that 2012 defense was great especially against the run and had some big hitters. I would like to see us against the Seahawks, Saints, Packers, & Ravens before deciding which might be better.

Return to San Francisco 49ers
