I knew things were bad when they were hyping up Chriss in the media (imo partly so refs don't foul him out in six seconds)

welp, first power rankings came in for the week. nba.com canada has us at 18, which is better than I expected frankly. why they had Dallas over us when their wins were against Zion-less Pelicans and Washington is beyond me.

ha speaking of which, Draymond Green, what do you get when a glorified role player no longer has a loaded team to glorify him?

Crives wrote:Also interesting to think how the west will look in one year... there are very few FA this summer.... for the most part it’s going to be the same rosters with 1 year of development or decline and a lot of stars on the decline. We are going to see a changing of the guard very soon as Suns/Mavs/pelicans/Kings improve.

Clippers-
will be worse. Another year of wear and tear on Kawhi/PH/Bev/Lou.. will they keep Harrel?

Lakers - Another year year of Lebron decline... likely will struggle to make the playoffs.... no picks.

Utah - Conley will be getting old, possibly will opt out.... no cap or FA options to replace value at pg. another year on Ed Davis and Bojan... will Mitchell development be enough to offset?

Spurs - Lots of aging core players.. does DeMarcus resign?

Houston- Another year on WB, Harden, PJ, Green and Gordon.

Harrell is their up n coming star...and Shamet..Kawhi and PG are 28 (younger than Rubio). They've got a good 5 years left at their peak or near peak. Utah has two young semi stars in Mitchell and Gobert...similar to us.

LeBron will decline but AD is 26.

But the young teams will start to rise, particularly the Nuggets because they are really young and super deep.

We probably need to find a PG of the future to hit elite status. Small chance it's Jerome but he's probably more of a really solid backup. And a PF of the future. I like Saric ok and probably Kaminsky better (in our extremely limited sample) but not as long term solutions as starters on a hopeful contender...but possibly very nice bench guys.

Spurs are on the decline though and the most interesting is GS, though with Klay back that will be a huge boost.

Don't bother with Wilber. Every player is trash until he likes them based on some arbitrary criteria.

Worst evaluations? STFU dude. I straight up said this team is deep, and fits well together. Everyone talked crap and cried about Warren, etc.

I also call it how it is.

The only player that has made me eat crow is Doncic. I didnt expect this much from him. Other than that, I have called a lot of accurate statements

That is a big crow eating statement...I think you said the same about Brandon Clarke...not as bad a miss as the former one, but you've had your share.

Everyone, even experts, said the value not only not received, but given up in the Warren trade was dumb. It worked out well for the Pacers, and so far our additions have helped.

But your obsession with him is getting old. He's gone. Get over it. People who didn't like the trade certainly have and he's in a better situation as are we.

Brandon Clarke hasnt done anything yet! I even stated in preseason he looked better than I thought. Let's give the dude a career, and see what he can do.

Also I am over that. Just making all you eat crow, who loved Warren.

Clarke's done a hell of a lot more than our rookies so far. I'm not eating crow on Warren...he played in 3 games on a new team missing their best player. Just stop the trolling.

I am convinced Wilber85 is JJ's burner account. The evidence just keeps pilling up.

So we're allowing below average proportion of open 3's and opponents are also hitting well below average of those open 3's?

Mavs won in Denver. Big win for them. Luka didn't even play that well. At all. Kristaps didn't shoot well either but had a ton of rebounds and some assists and blocks. Their bench won it for them...they all shot well....Kleber had a big game, but Justin Jackson, Delon Wright, Brunson and Hardway Jr did well...the latter hitting 4 3s.

Grizzlies hanging with the Lakers too so far.
