In spite of them scoring fewer points than the opposition while he was on the court?

Oh don't take my word on it:

If there's one guy I trust less than Fizdale, it's Begley.

(I literally know nothing about how trustworthy either of them is)

Always going to be a lot of value in guys with top court vision who can get anywhere on the floor on a live dribble.

I see the Pistons turned Christian Wood loose last night. Good for him.

What is the predictive value of Opponents Open 3P% after three games?

I'm guessing very close to zero.

Last year opponents open 3% against ranged from 31.4%-37.6% for 4-6 feet away and 34.9%-41.8% for 6+ feet away. Going back a few years I can't find a team that has allowed under 31% on 3s that are considered open (4-6 feet to closest defender).

I mean, what is the predictive value of 'surprisingly frisky teams' after three games? The point is, the surprisingly frisky teams have opponents that so happen to be shooting godawful from deep - they are surprisingly frisky precisely because it's a small sample size.

Yep. On the opposite end of the spectrum, these defenses should get better:

Ntilikina could be prime Scottie Pippen on defense and yet I don't think even that would make him a net positive with how absolutely dreadful of an offensive player he is.

Another small sample-size alert: Those trash players LA sent NO are all playing pretty well. Ingram is especially tearing it up.

Unless he's a coach who rails on his players in front of the press, what's he gonna say? Elfrid was injured and Dennis was at his grandmothers funeral, and he really stinks too, anyway, so Frank gave us what he had. At least he didn't turn the ball over more than he did.

Yeah Herro was born to get buckets, can't get over how he looks like a tall 15 year old in the NBA though
