He plays best when it is high stakes imho. He is old and beat up but he won’t be intimidated or make really dumb plays. He can also see the court rather well important on a team that has so many weapons. He is a much slower defender now than he was but he knows his spot and how to play.
But can Noah do anything Zubac can't? Not being able to keep up with the faster lineups is the reason he can't get 30 mpg. Otherwise he can handle whatever minutes you'd give to Slowa Noah.
Not really I mean he really just would be a body that won’t hurt you and has enough poise to play in bigger moments. A poor mans Chandler with maybe a little more left in the tank.... maybe.
Hey, I'm not a Zubac believer [yet] but he's doing OK some nights/many nights, is only 22, and we're committed to him another 3 years--plus a team option[!]. If it were anywhere near playoff time, I might be on board signing Noah. But there will be plenty of buyout fodder in the spring, and we're a destination. I'm not worried about missing out. Marc Gasol?
I didn't watch either of them play last year, but I thought Dwight Howard was the better call anyway. So did the Lakers. Can Noah do anything Zubac can't? I don't think we know yet, so the plan is let's give him some burn and find out.
