Damn Boston just can't stop with the saltiness . We gift wrapped them 3 top picks in consecutive years, is that not enough for them ? Leave us alone and watch a real dynasty be great

It’s misleading to be stating there were ‘empty seats’ in their home opener twice in this piece when the Nets have sold out several straight games dating back to end of last season and It’s kind of already been established that Barclays new check-in policy delays arriving crowds.

You also factor in a paragraph before that states the metrics of ticket sales since KD signed and the Stubhub Top 5 demand list...So, that was fairly lazy attempt to say “they are still the Nets” basically.

Presumably, there will be no empty seats when KD makes his debut. He's been at the facility nearly every day, rehabbing and chirping with teammates, offering input, letting his presence be felt. The Nets have not required his attendance; Durant made that determination all on his own.

Opening night was a packed house. The Knicks game was playoff level atmosphere. The narrative is getting stale.
Opening night a lot of people were not sitting in their seats (for whatever reason) for most of the game especially in the 100s section. This was EASILY seen because the gray towels that the Nets were giving out were plainly visible on the chairs. So if a chair is empty, it was very very visible and noticeable.

I don't know when it happened or where the people came from, but I looked down maybe 4 minutes left in game as it got close at those same chairs and suddenly they were filled as the arena was rocking.

But if someone simply looked at those sections from earlier portions of the game, it's easy to see why they don't think it was a packed house.

The crowd was also slow getting into it (same with Knicks game with exception of back and forth with the hardcore) until late in a close game

Kyrie could have been an angel all year and the Celtics would have found a way to plant some story about Kyrie being a moody diva.

We literally saw this building up all off season.

They're so obsessed with us because they overpaid a glorified TJ Ford to take his place.

It's also funny how every single show on ESPN and FS1 has to dissect this story about Kyrie being "moody" as if its WW3 because Jackie Mac said one thing about him being moody. What a joke.

Media has to feed into the Boston narrative.

NY media won't do a thing to defend us because they're still up trash ass Knick's ass.

What a non story that has been blown out of proportion. It was basically rehashing what everyone has already said/thought about Kyrie as if this were something new. Macmullen was on Le Batard yesterday and admitted that it was a shame that this is what garnered the most attention about her article.

Times have changed when Stephen A Smith is going out of his way to defend a Nets player on national TV.

Jay Williams also.

Read on Twitter

It’s only 3 games in and this is the level of attention that article has brought to the table.

ESPN knew what they were doing by allowing the author to put that basic non story in that article.

It's what ESPN always does: creating narratives out of thin air. They took next to nothing, put it as clickbait, knowing damn well that most people are **** ing too lazy or damn near illiterate in this country to stop and READ, and they use it to create a bull ****, toxic narrative and the rest of the media runs with it.

This is why dudes get nasty with reporters. You think Jackie McMullin, who again, did not write a hit piece but threw in some very vague stuff based on hearsay re: China, will ever get the same kind of access to the Nets that she got to write this story? I'd be shocked if they allowed her in the building or if the players even talk to her because of the absolute grenade that was thrown at them and Kyrie over this. If Kyrie refuses to ever speak with her on the record ever again he would be well within his rights.

I'm glad Stephen A said what he said.

Why would the celtics be obsessed with a 1-3 team? Lmao TJ Ford? Literally any fan base in the NBA would take Kemba over Kyrie at this point in their careers. Humble yourself

1. You stepped into that 1-3 team’s forum to tell its fans to “humble themselves”. That’s how obsessed you are.

2. Puffing your chest after Kemba went 7-19 / 4-11 3PT on 36% shooting. Not a good look.

Nobody with a brain believes Kemba can hold a candle to Kyrie Irving right now as the leading scorer in the league and doing it efficiently. Where was this energy last week?

I didnt tell fans to humble themselves I told him. I'm not even a celtics fan but to call Kemba a glorified TJ Ford and say Kyrie is the ex Boston cant get over is probably the best comedy I'm going to get all day. Literally anyone other than Brookly fans know how ridiculous those statements are.

And yes, literally every NBA fan besides for brookly fans know Kemba can "hold a candle" to Kyrie.

Enjoy your day though..

Are you serious?

Any thread on the General Board involving the Nets is flooded with Celtics fans talking about how terrible Kyrie is and how he makes them cry themselves to sleep every night.

Any fan base would take Kemba over Kyrie? Are you out of your mind? Hes 2nd in the whole NBA in scoring right now. Not even the Celtics would take Kemba over Kyrie. If they could have kept him they would have.

Instead of coming to our forum why don't you worry about your sorry ass Hornets and how you overpaid freaking Terry Rozier who sucks. Good luck with the 2nd worst owner in the NBA.

If Kemba was so great you guys wouldn't miss the playoffs almost every year

So make a non biased poll on the general board. With the question "who would you rather have as your starting point guard?" With Kemba and Kyrie as the options. Simple.

There's no such thing as "non-biased" and "Kyrie" on the General Board. Off you go.

That's convenient. Enjoy that 8 seed. Maybe next time be a little more humble and praise Kyrie without **** on one of the most likeable guys in the league for no reason at all.
