Cubs/Brewers Series

Post#1 » by Cav-Titan-Cub » Mon Aug 27, 2007 7:06 pm

"There will be an influx of Brewer fans here this week, and that's great. That's what makes the board fun. We won't tolerate any personal attacks from them or from Cub fans. And I would hope that Cub fans that go to their board not act like jerks."

So did MickeyDavis edit this post, or are you just warning us about the fan interaction to come on the board?

I don't get it? :dontknow:

One, you would something like "Last edited by MickeyDavis on (insert date here). Edited 1 time in total." under his post. Two, MD doesn't control this board.

I really don't know why Titan-Cav-Cub would start a thread like this. Hopefully the Brewers and Cubs boards don't turn into the OT Board over the next few days (though I'm sure it won't), but I think only mods are supposed to start threads reviewing the rules.

Hey comet, with all respect, your in enemy territory. Expect things like that. Its a friendly poke, with the series coming up tomorrow expect more friendly pokes, even some that are a little harsh.

You guys have stuff about Bartman and I think its hilarious, uncalled for, but I deff see the humor in it coming from a Brewer fan perspective. Please guys keep this fun 'cause thats why we're all here.

I....guess.....

But for the Bartman thing, sometimes I think even some Brewer fans can be jerks. Yes, we consume a lot of alcohol (well I don't, because I'm too young), but we're more of a polite group. But some Brewer fans have been making fun of Bartman, who was an innocent person who just wanted to catch a foul ball. Instead, he doesn't even have that ball anymore, as it was destroyed and later served on a plate of spaghetti. To make matters worse, he gets hate mail and death threats.

But even though some Brewer fans can be jerks, we're certainly not A-Holes like White Sox fans. I'm sure you guys have figured that out by now, but trust me, White Sox-Brewers games at County Stadium always had extremely high alcohol sales and lots of fights. In fact, my dad stopped taking me to Brewers-White Sox games.
