As long as we're playing crystal ball predictions, I think that if we're still in the playoff race come trade deadline that we're going to swing a trade:for
- Tyler Johnson
- Frank Kaminsky
- 2020 first rounder (top 25 protected) if not converted 2021 first rounder (top 20 protected) if not converted 2023 second rounder (unprotected) - since the Suns have already traded their next two second rounders adding a pick is a bit difficult
- Gallinari
All players are expiring - OKC gets a pick for an expiring. Suns upgrade the power forward position who plays the same role as Saric (stretching the floor / moving the ball) and move Saric off the bench.
Rubio / Carter / Jermone
Booker / Bridges
Oubre / Johnson
Gallinari / Saric
Ayton / Baynes
I get the feeling Jones is taking the patient view on the rebuild. If he wants Gallo I see him waiting till summer
I am not sure about the exact numbers but I think that we will no have enough money to offer him a big contract. We would have to renounce to sign some of our own players ( Saric, Baynes, Tyler and Carter).
I really like Gallinari, but it's Saric OR him for us.
Gallinari.....idk, he wants to be too big of a piece. He just isn't good enough, doesn't play D, and has major health issues. I'd say no unless he has some revelation and wants to be a nice bench guy, 6th man.
