This Lakers roster is extrememly unimpressive

Post#1 » by Pharmcat » Sat Nov 2, 2019 4:41 am

Color me unimpressed with this team, outside of LeBron
and AD they have no one who can create their own shot , are a bunch of has beens living off their names, and/or connection to klutch sports.

They should have split their 30 million in cap between Morris /lamb/delon wright to have a competent starting 5. But currently as constructed AD and LeBron have to carry this team in regular season and by the time playoffs come they will be burned out and bounced in first round when teams gameplan against those 2 and make the other scrubs try to beat them.

Once they get Iggy, who will eventually be bought out, they'll have a decent bench. I still think they need to trade Kuzma for a ball handler who can do something in the PnR, but i still put them up there with any team in the league.

But ya, Kawhi delaying his decision killed their depth. If they coulda got Wright/Lamb/Morris and kept Caruso/Kuzma, minimums still for guys like Mcgee/Daniels...they'd be a lot better. But Magic or no Magic, this is still a terribly managed team who gave de facto NTC to guys like KCP. Just awful

Well we knew that going into the season and it's proving correct. Still early but they're managing to put wins on the board and Kuzma just came back. Anything less than 100% health will really hurt them and there won't be any opportunities to load manage.

"The Lakers roster is extremely unimpressive besides the two top 5 players" oh ok.

The Lakers are 4-1 without Kuzma and Rondo.

Rondo was trash last season but I think he will play well with AD.

They didn’t give NTC to KCP. That’s completely wrong.

Their depth is suspect, but that's usually to be expected if you're that top heavy. LeBron, AD, Kuzma and Green with a 5th guy in a crunchtime will be good enough to beat anyone.

Getting Rondo back isn't going to help. Their defense is good right now, no need to add a trash defender to the mix.

A lot of the role players are poo. they need some more moves. Dwights been very impressive, i like caruso. Green, lebron and AD obviously good.

kcp, ab, magee suck. Rondo will be brutal for that team when he comes back. They need kuzma to be decent.

But yeah you cant trust a lot of these guys come playoffs. howd all these bums get player options?

I agree. This team is very weak outside of Lebron James and Anthony Davis.I'm still confident about the Lakers missing the playoffs this year despite of a 4-1 start to the season.I really wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers start going on a losing steak as their schedule gets tougher.

Not just about defense. Rondo is the only true point guard on the Lakers roster. He knows how to run an offense. Lebron plays the point, but can’t play the entire game and will look to scale back his minutes to be fresh for the playoffs.

Strongly disagree with lumping Bradley with KCP and McGee. Bradley has been a bright spot for the Lakers defense and im happy as a Laker fan with that signing.

Key word(s) being de facto. KCP can block any trade

Now list the three teams in the east with an identical record. Lebron and AD may be able to goat you guys to a great playoff run, but surrounding ad and lebron with one good shooter is almsot certainly going to cost you vs a well constructed contender
