His shooting maybe a work in progress and shooting on high frequency may lead our offense to be worse.

But..

Man, atleast lower your TO numbers. He’s averaging almost 5 TOs per game. He should also work on improving our transition offense, which is a mess right now.

Simmons is so frustrating to watch all he needs is a 3PT shot he doesn't even need a legit J for his midrange game.

Why does he need a 3pt shoot when his best attribute is down hill attacking the basket? what he really needs is a pull up game. In which if he gets stopped going to the rim he can get a bucket. Ben is bred to be a star and should be creating his own shot on will.

For one he's much harder to stay with when a defender is up on him right now they aren't respecting anything else other then his drive. It also removes some of the traffic around the key and rim that makes Embiid and Horford job scoring inside much easier as well.

Wow the Blazers are playing WAY off Ben.

If he was serious about his 3pt shot, and taking them when open....

Officially starting to worry...

He is who he is. A bigger Rondo. Borderline all-star. Nothing more nothing less.

Is Brandon Ingram bettern than Ben Simmons this season?

Frustrating to watch Ben against the Blazers. They were sagging off him the whole game, and instead of strolling to the line and launching 3s, he walks to the key and tries turn around jumpers.

yes... I'll get flamed I'm sure, but I would see if NO would have any interest in Jrue and Ingram for Simmons

Jrue is the defensive PG with good outside shooting that we truly need, and Ingram is a scoring wing with a high ceiling. Maybe NO would be down for building around simmons and zion

The way I see it, Ben has a sensitive personality or has a big ego. Like the Hawks game, he admitted the calls got into him that affected his game. I can see the same thing this game against the Blazers. He was playing well until he got called for a stupid foul in the first half. I believe he looked for retaliation with that screen that hurt Hood.

When you’re treated like a prince from childhood then paid money that only 1% of the entire world population can earn, these kind of things can get into your head. That us mortals can’t never understand it.

Big Simmons fan, but the Sixers have to trade him for a package while his value is still high.

He's a great player, but he is just too afraid to just take the leap. He has so many turnovers because his passes are telegraphed and he has to force the issue inside drawing offensive fouls. Late in games, he's more likely to miss fts, not shoot, and turn it over than take over.

Can this talented team win with him? Sure, can they be better if with more complete stars in his place? Yes.

Is Ingram better than him? Probably not, but he's a better fit on most teams.

Simmons is actually playing well considering he's still carrying a back injury.

That's why his 1st quarters have been good and then tapered off after that.

Take a look at Portland's stream and in particular the time when he got pushed late in the game before the free throws.

Firstly grabs at his upper leg, which he's wearing some sort of padding, maybe to try keep his back from getting tight, and then grimaces just before getting back up.

This is really a stretch.

He has always scored the bulk of his points early in the game when it's more free flowing. When it slows down he struggles.

The only remotely fair trade package out there for Ben revolves around Bradley Beal. I'm not even sure we can afford Beal on his new deal though. Even then, we'd lose a lot of small things Ben does that Beal doesn't.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

Can't trade for Beal this year, because he just signed his deal.

That too. Unless somehow Oladipo magically became available, there's no one worth trading him for.
