Drummond is averaging 22 and 19 lol. Rose at 30/9 per 36.

Snell at a Westbrookesque stat stuffing 10/3/2 per 36. Thon is not yet MVP level.

Baynes is showing up on that in a pretty favourable spot, but even odder is that his defensive impact has been huge for years but doesn't really show up too greatly in that quadrant because of the stats that are used to build the defensive impacts. He's never been a big blocks or rebounds guy, it's all communication/taking up space and limiting his direct opponent.

Which is to say- Aron Baynes is kind of showing out as a league leader on that chart, but his value is (somehow) probably under represented!

I can't see him maintaining this for the season, but if he does definitely would be in the running for MIP.

Baynes is shooting a gaudy 47% from 3 on a pretty high volume, can't see that sustaining but he does get a lot of open looks with how the suns are playing offense this year (good article on their scheme https://www.sbnation.com/platform/amp/nba/2019/11/4/20944001/phoenix-suns-how-are-they-good?__twitter_impression=true). His minutes will also drop once Ayton is back but probably not too much because he's only playing are 25 a night.

Eh you're probably right. His numbers to start the year are outrageous though, and I'm likely projecting my dissatisfaction from last season onto Giannis. Kawhi is an amazing player.

He indeed is. I just think he's got that think going for him where he's still getting credit for being a super defender when he was young in combination with his super offense now. Kinda like Kobe, Jimmy Butts etc
