Melo could have come off the bench behind Tyshaun. If you're that worried, you can always trade down for assets during the draft or trade later in the season if it doesn't work. Sometimes that bites you, like Greg Oden. But that's a different discussion.

So would have it been the best pick had they drafted Melo, had issues with Melo and T.Prince and never have won a championship? I wouldn't have done what they did, I probably would have traded down but they didn't want to mess with their chemistry. Take for instance... K.Irving, highly talented yet with Boston and Brooklyn, teams about being a team, has completely changed their makeup to be about him. Sometimes talent causes issues.

There's always a chance that things can go wrong.

When those issues arise, you just trade the offending player. And yeah, I think it would have been worth it even if they didn't win the championship because they would at least have a star to build around and be competitive in the east. At the worst, Melo still had value. Milicic had nothing.

I don't think drafting Melo would change their identity. Melo would be a rookie that had to prove himself behind a Prince. A team full of no bs tough guys and vets. He likely would have meshed well in that role until he was ready to start.

Down go the final undefeated team. Devin Booker with 40 on 15-19 shooting against that tough Sixers D. Not JRich's best night.

Impressive start for the Suns.

Saw JRich and TJ exchanging jerseys after the game.

Warriors may have scouted wrongly when it came to Kendrick Nunn, but they look to have hit on Eric Paschall. 30 and 11 tonight.

Undersized PF at 6'6 but plays more like SF? Strong and athletic. Good find by GS

Never underestimate the Whiteside effect on a team. Causes teams to lose games they should win all the time.

Case in point, Whiteside was a team low -15 in +\-
Proud embarrassment
