the whinepost died after game 1.
we are 5-1. I cannot be too upset w/ that considering the dank dark **** I was on prior to the season lol.
I cannot dissagree w/ many of the things peeps are mad about...just think its a bit premature is all. Frustrating and probably telling but there is still enough time for new developments that might alleviate some of these issues is all. We could have won this game...even w/o Embiid and w. Ben with his head up his ass lol. Could always be worse. I mean ****...kinda hope it does outside of injury...maybe the two most important guys will man up then...right?

Re: Game 6: Philadelphia 76ers (5-0) @ Phoenix Suns (4-2)
This team has no shot at winning a championship until Ben decides he wants to be a scorer at least some of the time. He was only a mild negative in the plus minus but lets be honest he was awful on offense. There is nothing on that Phoenix team defensively for him to have only 6 points. And he shot the ball 8 times. 8 freaking times lol. He is the main reason they lost. Embiid is out so your so called stars have to step up. Tobias and Big Al did. I got people talking about how this guy is a future top 5 player in the league I dont see it without a total attitude change. He is also basically the same player as when he came into the league. I actually like Ben a lot personally but I dont understand whats going on in his head 99% of the time. If his lack of offense is one of the main reasons they cant get by Milwaukee this year he is going to take a ton of heat next summer and rightfully so.

Good god man. Dlo is a crappy inefficient chucker who is even more allergic to the rim than Simmons and even more allergic to defense.

They're not that good.
But we’re not that bad either and after the last decade of incompetence Suns fans will take it!

Suns fan here. first off, you will undoubtedly kill the other teams you play on this trip. Really jealous about your level of talent; Horford is worth every penny.
I agree that you guys should not touch D Lo with a ten foot pole. I was always positive about the Rubio signing for us but now I especially see that Russell would have been a disaster in Phoenix.
See you guys in Philly in March when the game will be meaningful (hopefully for both teams) and at full strength. Ayton needs to learn from Embiid if he's ever going to live up to his draft pick.

The part you are missing, is that it's not just six games. Simmons's issues with shooting have been evident since college, and there has been no improvement, if anything he appears to have gotten worse.
At least he was once able to be trusted to make layups, but now he seems to be missing 50% of the easy shots that he should make. Maybe it's because he has spent so much time trying to become a left-handed shooter, that he has not practiced with his right, the one that he always uses around the rim. He has always been almost incapable of making a layup with his left, now it seems that he struggles with both.
At this stage it appears that he is uncoachable, and that is a major red flag.

Josh Richardson is a role player. a very good one, but a role player nonetheless. he's just about useless on offense outside of the occasional jump shot.
and for some reason BB is obsessed with making him a PG.
this fanbase went insane with their expectations for him and acting like he was anywhere near the level of Butler.

Coincidence that someone else made the game thread, a Suns fan and we lose. Kobble did the first 5 and we won. Think kobble needs to do them all until we lose with his gamethreads.

I get all of that
I spend every game being really mad at Ben passing up open looks and running away from the ball.
My point is that at 5-1, the facts are;
1. not going to trade Ben
2. he's probably not going to change his approach.
3. even if we did, we'd won't get back great value regardless of your feelings on Ben.
4. And even still this team is built around being huge as **** w/ two top tier perimeter defenders (Booker going **** doesn't change that)....not replacing that aspect of Ben game.
5. And major change only gives everyone another out. We flame out this year and changes will have to come.
6. and finally...no team is perfect. Every team even the championship winning ones often have some nasty flaws....your team is always going to have things that they can do better or just can't do.
so when I keep bringing up 5-1...its not that everything is perfect or that we are a lock to win (whinepost was basically saying we won't win) but rather...its not exactly at defcon one at the moment...perhaps inspite of all of the issues. So maybe just maybe...time will heal all wounds...or we bleed out. Either way i'd save all of the panic for much later....not 6 games into the season off the first loss...in a close game.

Three years of evidence but you think it's too soon to try something different? That's what I don't get.

Interesting how he doesn’t trust the teammate wide open on the other corner. That’s a pass he’s making this season.
Pretty incredible the difference having good shooters around you makes.

Good game guys. Booker was just scorching hot. Horford though, what a solid pickup. I questioned whether or not he'd be productive on your team but he seems to be fine. Really hope you guys beat down the Jazz and chicken Nuggets. Suns need some separation from any other teams in the West. Meanwhile, we'll do our best to beat the Heat so you guys can reclaim the top spot in the East.

I understand why Brown wants to make Richardson a ball handler. Just to keep the defense as strong as possible, along with the fact that you can typically run the offense through 2-3 other players with him at that spot.
This team's only hope is to be the best defensive team they can be.

Our starting PG, SG didnt play well theres did, even matisse had a clunker.
Ayton will be good but he doesnt affect the game the way Embiid does on either end
By march the sixers offense will be in better shape and if Embiid is playing Baynes will have to defend him and not shutting down Ben.

Re: Game 6: Philadelphia 76ers (5-0) @ Phoenix Suns (4-2)
As annoying as this loss was because we could have won, there are some POSITIVES:
- Al looks like he can turn back the clock when needed, he is still a really good two way player. He is a legit pick and pop option for our offense.
- Furkan may be turning into a legit 3 pt option. 4 3pters this game and not afraid to pull it.
- All of our bigs that played hit a 3 this game, we need all the spacing we can get with Ben . So having bigs that can hit the outside shots is a plus.
- Neto didnt have the impact he had the other game but it looks like he may be splitting back up PG mins with Jrich. He can help the flow of the offense a little which is needed.
- The only player that played well was AL and we still almost won the game. This is a gritty team im excited to see grow over the season, the offense(still klunky) will take some time.

It's one game in November. Not gonna overreact. Suns have been playing like a legit NBA team this season. It'll be good to have Embiid back.

Re: Game 6: Philadelphia 76ers (5-0) @ Phoenix Suns (4-2)
Fist game I've missed, so no eye test from me. From a statistical standpoint it is clear that our defensive numbers were too poor to offset our lack of half court offense. Both teams shot very good from 3 and midrange, but their percentage at the rim is too good for our defensive talent. Even without Embiid (would make a massive difference though).
However, I must say that some of those shots were just crazy, especially some shots from Booker were ridiculous.

Richardson is much closer to the player we saw against Boston than he is to what he showed against Phoenix.
