Are you talking about Andrew Bynum? The guy whose injury is the reason the Lakers traded for Gasol? That injury?

Also, if we're seriously talking luck, I'm not sure any team has been more UNLUCKY than the Celtics if we go back 12 years. KG injury cost them a great shot to go back to back, Perkins injury likely cost them a title, Avery Bradley injury and Allen playing hurt cost them a great chance at a title, plus the Hayward freak injury. Maybe the Warriors, but they've had injury luck go both ways.

Get out of here. The Celtics are not even a Top 10 unluckiest franchise regardless of whether we look at recent or their entire history.

That is such a ludicrous statement. You can't seriously believe that can you?

The Celtics have had a lot of luck, good and bad alike. The Len Bias and Reggie Lewis deaths, e.g., put us one corpse ahead of the Nets and two ahead of most teams, and that's about as bad as luck gets. That one of Pierce/Allen/KG had a career-affecting injury is reasonable. That one of their two young starter colleagues had a career limiting injury in Game 6 of the Finals was a bit much. And it's not like that's a complete list of injuries, either. Rondo was a multiple all-star when he had a career-limiting injury in his prime. Rondo and others also had injuries in or right before the playoffs. Gordon Hayward was a pretty big FA to go down with an immediate injury. Etc.

The team is really good. And moreover we Celtics fans have already had more fun watching this team than we did all of last season.

So troll away, trolls. It is quite satisfying to read people trying to rationalize the concept that the Celtics have been exposed with a 4-1 record including wins over the Bucks and Raps.

I concur, it has ran its course.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
The Blazers are the unluckiest IMO, but the Celtics have had terrible, terrible luck at times. Yt?throughout history and more recently with 2008 championship teams longevity.
This isn't an outrageous statement.
They lost Reggie Lewis and Len Bias. KG went down. Then with KG back on one leg they lost Perkins for game 7 of finals.
The KG injury was a career changing injury for their franchise player.

Weigh the luck with the unluckiness and you'll come to a drastically different outcome.

The point is that the Celtics are unlucky to not have another 3 to 5 championships because of injuries and even death to star players.

But you have no idea about what injuries the Celtics have had and you don't care. You'd rather just hate on em'.

Missed out on Tim Duncan with best odds.
Missed out on Durant with 2nd best odds (when he was #2 consensus pick behind Oden) and ended up with #5 pick.

Go on, hater.

Lol I said its impressive they keep winning despite injuries wasnt calling the knicks out specifically. Regardless of who they play they've been without 2 starters and Rob Williams for multiple games each

But half the teams you beat on this win streak are the Knicks... so is it still impressive? The Knicks have Julius Randle as their star out there. The Celtics are talked about as a top team in the East, but I just don't see it.

They beat the Raptors and Bucks too, but only the bad teams count in your fairytale right?

When does the schedule turn and all the road games come in all at once? Is it soon? Asking for a friend.

The Cs' point differential against the Cavs on the road, with only two major injuries (Brown, Kanter) was a mere 5. Horrible team.

Brown yeah, but Kanter being out can't really be described as a major injury. Him being out doesn't really matter IMO.

After 2 years I still can't tell the difference between Gordon Hayward and Daniel Theis. Exact same player.

Kanter is slated for major reserve minutes, and he's the team's best rebounder, so I stand by my opinion.

And by the way, the one kind of defense he's pretty good at is post defense, and that's something that's actually helpful against the Cavs. There's a good chance he would have started against them if available.
