And as advertised, another trade idea, I love doing his lol.
3 team deal. Indy needs a reliable wing player who can defend and play intelligent team basketball and ideally need to find a better front court pairing than Sabonis and Turner. Statistically Goga and Sabonis has fared better than Turner and Sabonis, so they look to break up those 2 and add that SF they can rely on to defend and playmake/score with Brogdon and who will also pair up well with Oladipo when he returns.
Orlando needs scoring, they rank last in the league in that, and they also rank last in efficiency at scoring. They need someone who can score buckets. Also Bamba is buried there behind a mess of bigmen, so they clear out some non-scoring, non-productive bigs to make room for scoring.
Boston has a need for a bigman to grow with the young core, they go after one who has team USA connections with the core already and one who is a great fit in a stevens system.
Indy out:
Turner, TJ Warren
in
Hayward, Bamba, Poirier
Indy upgrades the SF spot at the cost of losing Turner, Bamba become a potential Turner replacement that in the meantime opens the door for a goga/sabonis front court.
Brogdon
Lamb(Dipo)
Hayward
Sabonis
Goga (Bamba)
Orlando out:
Aminu, Bamba
in
Warren, Aaron Holiday,
Orlando adds wing scoring and better balances their roster putting Gordon on the bench in favor of Isaac. Their Bench will improve greatly with Gordon taking pressure off of Ross and Augustine.
Fuktz(Augustine)
Fourner
Warren (Gordon)
Isaac
Vuc
Boston out:
Hayward, Poirier
in
Turner, Aminu
Boston adds a young blossoming Center whose skill set fit the team perfectly. Aminu brings a Vet presence off the bench that can put up relatively efficient offensive numbers but most importantly can defend sf/pf at a high rate. Once Kanter comes back that bench defense will be key from the wing positions. Williams slides into the starting PF position, or Marcus Smart into the starting SG postion (bumping Tatum and Brown each up a slot) depending on matchups.
Kemba/Edwards/Waters
Brown/Smart/Langford
Tatum/Aminu/Green
GWilliams/Theis/Semi
Turner/Kanter/RWilliams
