I really don't know why Steger is beating a drum here. Soccer is far lower in terms of body impact on a game to game basis, it's distance running with bursts. (You've got Eliud Kipchoge winning the Olympic Gold Medal in the Marathon at Rio at the age of 32 when logic says he should be slower for example.) Guys extend their careers because vet savvy is a very very real thing. Skill level and the way you see the game is a very very real thing. The game isn't played in close quarters like the NBA. There's space everywhere, there's movement, there's touch. Nuance can go a really really long way in soccer. It doesn't work like that in the NBA.

Soccer players are basically done by the age of 30 unless they are super stars or goal keepers. The game is way harder on the body than you guys think

I play. I just flat out disagree with you.

I see 50 year old guys still playing ball at the Y. You and me playing rec soccer isn’t comparable to what I’m talking about

Anyways. Back to the game. I’m sure our guys partied last night so who knows how this game ends up. I’d be disappointed with a loss. (And I’m glad kawhi isn’t playing as it increases our win chances, just think it’s bad for the league)

This is a huge point, hard court is much harsher on the joints.

I play higher than rec.

Now I’m intrigued. Majors? What club? I did as well up until a couple years ago

I can't wait for the TMZ pics tomorrow of our team looking miserable at a strip club.

I'm not sure you'd use a sport that would have careers 'done by 30' as an example that soccer players manage themselves better.

Firstly they have loads of hip issues from excessive drilling when their femoral heads are developing as kids. Then they get stacks of groin issues. Then finally there's an immense pool of players out there, so they are spat out of the system unless total star.

The NBAs schedule is crap, and they are only just starting to take responsibility for this schedule meaning star players are missing games.

I'm 100% in board with Kawhi resting, even this early. The season is a marathon, and if his wellness scores have dropped then that's why he's missing this game. Again the NBA have been very slow to catch onto self-rating of a players general condition.

As a fan it **** me, but I understand why it's happening.

really interested to see how the Bucks fare against such a defensive-oriented team, albeit one missing their big 2

call it load management. I call it fear of Giannis' revenge.

The Clippers are 16th in DRTG and 3rd in ORTG. Bucks are 9th and 2nd by comparison.

The Bucks have already played much better defensive teams in Miami, Orlando, and Toronto.

This thread is weird.

Initially I was going to voice my stress about how the heck am I going to handle my stress of trying to figure out how to watch this epic battle since it's in the middle of a workday.

That was resolved quickly because saw you guys mention the claw is out. I'll watch it on replay tonight or tomorrow.

Then started reading posts about soccer and **** like that.

WTF.
