Lol, no.

There's something called defense that were really bad at. That's why we lost.

I agree, a lot of elements went into losing the game. However, saying that Beal going 1-12 from the 3 wasn't a factor would be foolish.

You mean a coach that would not put up with Beal's chucking and (when he comes back) Walls do what the hell I wan't mentality. Coach Pop ain't coming here no time soon. Who is out there for the challenge.?

That's precisely my point. It would be a dream for Pop to come here. We need someone who won't take **** and bench a player if they act out. Most of these coaches are coaching scared thinking they'd lose their job.

And who fits the job, maybe Jeff/Stan Van Gundy. Yeah right try getting them here.

I think we may be reaching the end of the competitive portion of our schedule. I like the team and find them oddly fun to watch -- on offense. But geez... they couldn't stop a snowflake.

The defense, especially with IT in there, is unthinkably bad. We rely on other teams missing uncontested shots.

16 turnovers isn't an exceedingly high number, but you probably want to aspire to stay below that.

The biggest issue however was the fashion in which the Wizards threw the ball away. I didn't keep count, but the feelzies tell me Washington spotted the Pacers somewhere around 25 to 30 points just carelessly throwing the rock away.

That's not even counting the no pass pull ups that you might as well stick into that category.

They can't afford to be that loose with the ball as much as they struggle to defend in transition.

Thomas was particularly cringe in the first half and a good offensive half was wasted just by spotting the Pacers so many easy buckets.

Not a big fan of having Thomas out there as a starter, would be nice if Brooks saw the light and gave Brown some time at the position as a starter, bring Thomas and Ish in as change of pace guys.

The rotation needs to be changed.

First of all, Bonga needs to go...preferably the d-league. He's not ready for major minutes on an NBA team. I'd start Bertans with TBJ backing up. Secondly, send IT to the bench where he belongs.

I'd love to see:

Brown Ish
Beal McCrae
Miles Bonga
Bertans Hachi
Bryant Mo

Not sure it would be that much better than what we regularly trot out, but...

Need to keep Bertans and Mo off the court at the same time. Need Brown to start and play the lion's share of time at the point. Need at least three shooters on the floor at all times.

There is 0 reason what so ever to move Rui to the bench. He's playing well. He had a bad night. No reason to bench the kid.

Having Rui not start would be pretty bad optics. They should play about equal minutes. What I don't like (going forward) is sliding Rui down to SF.

We lost last night, but it wasn't a surprise. We played a solid team, much better than us, on their court. In fact, so far we've only had one genuinely bad game -- vs. Minny.

After our first 4 games, we were 1-3 -- but overall we were up by a point in that sequence of games.

& in our last 2 games, since the loss to Minny, we have gone 1-1. In those 2 games combined, again, we are up a point on the league.

We need to beat the Cavs tomorrow night. Do that, and the first 10% of the season will look... respectable, given who we are & where we are. Lose to the Cavs, & it's ugly!
