Ok I've been backing Moose up on these boards but I'm official on the Get Moose out of the Rotation bandwagon. Simply atrocious....

Joba is a lock for the rotation next year (to start the year). They aren't wasting him in the bullpen, being a setup guy.

Kennedy may start the year in the minors.

I think Joba will be in the minors to start the year so he can work on his arsenal and they can limit his innings. I think Igawa will get his spot.

I've been part of that bandwagon too, but I agree with you. He needs to go on the DL.

then they should have thrown igawa out there. Right now mussina can't get pro hitters out. It is sad, but reality..

little league teams would be teeing off chokesina

this team didnt fall apart, it got beat by real teams which are clearly several levels above this yankee team....this team cant hack it with real teams, and is a pretender

LOL @ The Tigers taking it easy on us and then the ump pretty much giving us a "mercy" strikeout.

Mussina + Henn = trainwreck

Clemens, Mussina, Henn, Villone hopefully will not be on the team next season.

You might be right on Joba. But I don't see why they should be too hesistant with Kennedy when he should be able to pitch a full or near-full workload next season. I definitely don't want to keep him down there just to give Igawa another shot.

I think if there is a choice between Kennedy and Mussina for the 5th starter spot, the Yankees will choose Mussina. If Mussina is ineffective, then they'll call up Kennedy.

We look like the White Sox whenever Mussina starts recently. No pride whatsoever.

I turned the TV. Did Joba give up any runs? if so, why bring him in this type of game? he has been pitching meaningful innings now this?

when your starting pitcher gives up 5+ runs in the first two innings every start, it messes with you mentally, especially when the other pitcher is a good one in verlander.... you almost come out of the dugout defeated...

It took a great catch by melky to keep the game from being out of hand in the first inning...

Wow, I honestly thought Mussina would at least compete tonight but he clearly just isn't capable anymore. So who takes his spot now? It seems like they are hesitant to bring up Kennedy but what other options do they have? Igawa and Karstens have both been terrible as well.
