The only thing that can save them is their coach, but even Stevens can not preform miracles with this mess.

Another great take. Good job. Good game.

Haha, going a bit early on the I told you so's, especially against the might of the Charlotte offense. I've always said that if any coach can get that defense to work it's Stevens, it will be interesting to see if they can keep it up.

Its too early to crown them the kings of the east. (not the sactown kings fyi), but it's not to early to call this take horrible bad. Like I feed bad for you that you posted and and others read it and know.

Fighting for 1 pick, worst defense. We won't be fighting for the 1st pick and our defense won't be bad regardless of how many wins we end up with at the end of the season.

Celtics is a Top 4 seed, but they're not at Phi/Mil tier right now. Pretty sure they'd lose in a 7 game series against both of them.

With that said, anyone writing off the Celtics after losing Horford deserves to eat crow.

Yeah, I don't get it either. It's like those people that bump a thread two weeks into a season telling everyone they were wrong after a big win over the Hornets, they must have some time on their hands.

Hayward has been excellent. Did not see that coming.

I think his return to form is what I didn't see coming. Congrats to the Celts.

I have no idea who is going to be the best team(s) in the East this year. I have no idea how many wins Boston will get this season. I have no idea how many pages this thread is going to reach (unfortunately). About the only thing I know for certain is that this Boston team is a whole lot more enjoyable to watch then last year's team. I think the only thing we can say for certain when it comes to being "exposed" is that this team is "exposing" just how bad (and how miserable it was to watch) last year's team was.

It seems the big situational irony being set up in the playoffs will be if Horford made the right move going to the Sixers instead of staying with the Celtics.

Before the season started? Maybe! Right now i don’t think the Bucks are way above. Losing Brogdon was huge, and i think Giannis is starting to get frustrated with his team. I think the Sixers are a tier above because of their size. Anything could still happen though. The league is wide open.

This thread needs to die. As soon as they lose two in a row (which will happen), this thing will jump to 200 pages.

It is still a small sample size, and the Celtics schedule has been pretty darn easy aside from Philly, Toronto, and Milwaukee.

HOWEVER, if you posted in this thread within the first 10 pages, AFTER just ONE preseason game, to shovel dirt on the Celtics grave, then you deserve to eat the **** sandwich in front of you. The irony of complaining about how early it is in the season is not lost on most of us here.

This thread did not age well, as I expected.

The Celtics lost one game this year to the team best able to exploit their one weakness. The Celtics will be fighting for the 1 or 2 seed all season with a healthy Heyward.

Why is there a thread for the celtics on the general board every year that gets continuously bumped and why isn’t it locked yet?

You're both right. I don't understand why this thread exists anymore, as it's just gloating at this point. I'm locking the thread.

The only way Kyrie was taking the Celtics to the finals was if he bought them all tickets to go watch.
