Rozier pulled a Lance Stephenson tonight. He played a dumb game the whole way through. His head was literally not in this game for one second.

But the turning point was Zeller. JB knows to yank him. Very sad Biz is playing meaningful minutes. Cody literally watches players attack the basket, without reacting.

Why everybody ignoring Rozier's defense on Kemba? Kemba couldn't do anything.

I thought this game was one of our better efforts on defense. Not for the full four quarters but definitely first half. They were a bit stunned by us. Still we need a post defender.

If Bake continues to be disappointing, Nic will surely get the starting spot when he returns.

How great is Gordon Hayward? He was always a perfect fit with Kemba. It's too bad we didn't draft legit prospects to trade for him.

Cody Martin = Can't play with Rozier

Start Graham and Cody Martin instead of Rozier and Bacon = Probably better flow in starting lineup

Problem with that = Rozier makes 18M and wouldn't take coming off bench well

Solution = Hope Rozier picks it up, trade to PG needy team by all-star break hopefully get some sort of center back

I don't like Bacon with Rozier at all. It brings out Rozier's tunnel vision. Bacon is an anchor on Rozier. Rozier needs to play with playmakers. I honestly feel Monk would do better in the starting lineup. Sub Graham for him.

I like the idea of starting Monk and bringing Bacon off the bench but concerned about his defense on bigger stronger 2’s. We really need (and have needed forever) a quality SG with size who is a prolific scorer. We also need a quality 5 for all the obvious reasons. Stupid draft pick choices continue to haunt our team.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

We tried to get Willie Cauley-Stein. It's not that we can't move Cody (we can) it's that we can't pry away a 5. It's a good sign Kupchak is targeting an upgrade. I don't know the plan but you can see Borrego souring on Cody. Cody is a bench big. But we don't have options.

As for Bacon, wow.

How many more games will JB start him?

we don't really have it

Pretty certain Bacon and Cody need more than that. They are the 2 starters on the team least deserving of a starting role in the NBA.

Yikes. Horrible game from Kemba and still loose by 20. Harsh reminder how far away this Hornets team is from competing. Hopefully for the sake of the franchise they can stop winning games so they can actually get a top 3 pick. This needs to be repeated for at least 3 years. It's full tank mode in Charlotte for a longgg time at least it should be. And they certainly have the right guy leading the charge (rozier)

We had one in Lamb. We were so worried about the inevitable with Kemba that we let someone go that we needed more than Kemba in the process.

Graham
LAMB
Bridges
Washington
Zeller

Would have done damage.

His on ball D is fantastic but he does get caught ball watching at times when he’s away from the action.
